Fifteen years ago today, I celebrated so much more than another birthday...

It was, also, the day my deceased husband and I picked up our son from one of the most sad settings, ever.. a poor orphanage in Ukraine.

Our trek around that country was the most enlightening experience I have ever participated in. To see what has happened to the country of my child's birth, breaks my heart. To see the tactics used here by trolls, seems so obvious to me.

On the other hand, Vlady Daddy will never be able to get his slimy, scuzzy paws on my kid!

Happy Adoption Day, Alexsei. You are the bestest Birthday present, ever!

Back in 2005, I lived in Texas. My husband had passed away, and I was lucky enough to meet DU members in real life. We got together to watch the Superbowl.

I am beginning to think that Trump wants to be relieved of the presidency. I think he'd rather fight the charge of being insane than defend himself from corruption charges. Corruption is a charge that affects his "brand". Insanity... well, we can blame those charges on the media folk, the democrats, and the Intelligence community.

Pence is remarkably silent.

Steve Beshears, former Democratic Governer, will be delivering the Democratic response to Trump's SOTU speech. He supported Obamacare, and the residents of this state are glad.

I've been here for a very long time. Sometimes, more a lurker than a poster.

Those who remember me and my son will recall the stempac story I wrote about our family.
