fescuerescue's JournalI wouldn't be surprised to see Trump run in 2024 after he loses in 2020
He would still be eligible.
Just a scary thought that 2020 won't be the last.
I'm surprised that Trump has been this hard to takedown
I really thought we would have impeached and removed him by the end of 2017. We knew all we needed to know by the end of November 2016.
I guess it's really an indicator of how far this country has fallen.
This is probably how Germans felt about Hitler in 1941.
For his next impeachment, we need to get his tax returns
I'm a little sad that we didn't get them this time around.
Since removing Trump seems to be something everyone has given up on
Is it possible to have him heavily censored instead?
At least that would stop him from declaring victory again and again.
It's time to start preparing for life under Pence
And hopefully the leadership already has leads on impeaching him as well.
I've been thinking about what a Pence regime will look like. Given his fundamentalism and even far hardcore stance against womens rights, we have a long road to freedom.
As I understand it, AG Rod Rosenstein appointed Mueller
Clearly he - Mueller came in with a preset notion and bias given what we have seen.
Can Congress commission their own investigation? Is this something that Pelosi can do (not talking about impeachment but that would be fine by me). Appoint a neutral and unbiased Democrat to run it? Then we can compare the two reports and decide further action.
I just feel like we have been scammed all along.
Is Mueller done and packing up his office?
Or standing by for further orders?
Or busy working on others things that haven't been turned in yet?
Seems like if he is truly done, maybe it's time for Congress to give him additional things to investigate. God knows there is plenty more.
I've never understood why so many have been praising and worshipping a Republican anyway
Mueller is a lifelong Republican. Everytime I mentioned that I was told over and over "yes he is, but he's different".
We don't know what's in the report. All we know is how Washington is reacting. And I don't see a reaction that reflects a President on his way out.
Time will tell. But I think the worship of Republican Mueller will be a little less over the coming days and weeks.
The house should call for a special prosecutor for Judge Ellis
Or maybe add this to Muellers list.
Pretty clear that this judge has been paid off.
Could this shutdown last months? Years?
I was sure it would be over by now. People are really starting to hurt.
If Trump won't budge, are their legal means are available to force him to budge?
Impeachment proceedings? What about an injunction? 25th amendment? This cannot be allowed to last much longer.
Can Mueller order Trump to resume government, since this amounts to essentially obstruction of justice (funding of his investigation)?
Can Pelosi declare an emergency and provide funding?
I just can't believe that we are at the mercy of this man.
