IT IS TWO AND A HALF MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT
For the last two years, the minute hand of the Doomsday Clock stayed set at three minutes before the hour, the closest it had been to midnight since the early 1980s. In its two most recent annual announcements on the Clock, the Science and Security Board warned: The probability of global catastrophe is very high, and the actions needed to reduce the risks of disaster must be taken very soon. In 2017, we find the danger to be even greater, the need for action more urgent. It is two and a half minutes to midnight, the Clock is ticking, global danger looms. Wise public officials should act immediately, guiding humanity away from the brink. If they do not, wise citizens must step forward and lead the way.

Who the Hell Voted for Karen Handel?
Republican men do not vote for women. Would women have voted for her after the Komen debacle? Who voted for her and what was their twisted reasoning?
Here Is Jeff Sessions Reading a Children's Book and Donald Trump Interrupting
This is pretty funny (and damning)

Attorney General Jeff Sessions, the highest-ranking law enforcement official in the country, who in recent weeks has disbanded a forensic science commission and ordered a comprehensive review of police reforms across the country, read the childrens book Its Not Easy Being a Bunny Monday morning on the lawn of the White House at the annual Easter Egg Roll.
P.J. Funnybunny was very sad, Sessions, whos planning a federal crackdown on marijuana users, read to an unknown number of children.
He did not like being a bunny, Sessions continued. At this point, he showed the children an illustration, presumably of a sad bunny. There he is, hes not very happy, noted the former Alabama senator, whom Coretta Scott King once described as working against her husband's dream. Sessions also questioned P.J. Funnybunnys aversion to the cooked carrot dish his mother is always forcing him to eat. I think a bunny would like carrots, our baffled Attorney General, who last week issued a memo instructing prosecutors to crack down on anyone harboring undocumented immigrants, said.
Sessions got a few pages into the book before Donald Trump, flanked by his wife Melania, his son Barron, and the Easter Bunny, came outside.
Easter Egg Role Convinced Me of His Senility
I had my doubts, but not anymore.
Tossing the kid's hat like a lunatic. Melania's slap to wake him from his reverie. His mind is wandering in outer space. He is totally detached from reality. He is SENILE.
A Little American Civil War In Berkeley
link: http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2017/04/16/a-little-american-civil-war-in-berkeley.html
The melee that erupted in Berkeley on Saturday in the name of free speech was nothing like the Free Speech movement there a half-century back.
snip...
But what is happening in Berkeley in 2017 is completely different. Instead of protesters rallying against authoritarianism and state power (the Free Speech Movement protested against the University of Californias decision not to let people distribute political materials on campus; the fight for Peoples Park was against the university and the National Guard) these are fights among citizens.
I feel like Berkeley has become the ground zero of a new civil war.

Was Berkely a Conspiracy?
Serious question. There are eighteen states whose rethug legislature introduced bills to curb protesting against tRump. But there is that niggling freedom of speech clause in the constitution. Still, if they can prove that political protests lead to violence, then political protests could, theoretically, be excluded from the protection of freedom of speech.
Trump's reelection campaign raised $13.2 million in first quarter
President Donald Trumps reelection campaign is off to a quick start, pulling in $13.2 million through a trio of committees in the first three months of the year, while paying an unusually large staff of about 20 employees, according to records filed Friday evening with the Federal Election Commission.
Nearly 80 percent of the cash raised by the three committees Donald J. Trump for President, Trump Victory, and Trump Make America Great Again Committee came from small donors.
The Republican National Committee says it raised another $41.3 million in the first three months of the year, but as of early Saturday, it had yet to file its final FEC report of the quarter.
The FEC reports for the three Trump committees suggested that much of their fundraising bounty came from the sale of branded merchandise sold around Trumps inauguration and early presidency.

Is War More Potent than Viagra?
I honestly think that is what it comes down to, a bunch of white dudes having felt impotent for 8 years under the black man are suddenly free to unleash their libido on the world. They see their role model, Li'l Donnie, fucking shit up and want to jump right into the orgy. 'Yeah, 'Murica! Show me videos of huge missiles penetrating stuff!"
This has been building for the past year. Case in point, the group of white dudes who in, August of last year, formed a political group based on wanting Melania to be first lady because she's hot: http://time.com/4439990/melania-trump-first-lady/
Now this isn't anything to do with war, per se, but it shows where men's minds were all along. They were thinking with their dicks instead of their brains. It also proves that there is no sane reason for tRump and the rest of the war mongers' reactions to NK; it's all based on a need for release...
Get a magazine or something, guys.
This is a case of the two biggest bullies
trying to prove how tough they are. They insult each other and then call each other out after school.
Do I think North Korea should be dealt with? Yes. BUT never by another bully who just wants to prove he is tougher.
This is what I think most people who want to take care of NK are missing, the absolute fact that tRump is NOT fit to lead a military campaign against any country.
