Bluepinky's JournalI have been wondering about the right wing think tanks.
I googled “right wing think tank”. There are a lot of these things that promote right wing ideology. There are twice as many think tanks that lean right versus those that lean left. Some deal with specific issues, such as a religion or private schools.
So it seems there are a lot of conservatives working full-time to think of ways to promote the wealthy Repubs at the expense of the rest of the country. I wonder if any of the think tanks deal with Russia and how it can assist some politicians during elections.
Working for a (right wing) think tank seems like a strange way to make a living. The employee doesn’t actually make anything or provide a service except to think of ways to screw over a lot of other people.
I havent heard about Mitch McConnell lately.
Mitch is my least favorite politician, and I think he has done more to undermine our country’s political system than anyone else. I’m hoping he’s caught up in the Russia scandal, because I think he’s guilty. He would do anything to keep Republicans in power.
He has been so quiet, anyone know what he’s up to? He is a person we need to keep tabs on.
There is a double standard on DU.
I thought that posters aren't allowed to denigrate Bernie Sanders, who caucuses with Democrats and, as a Democratic Socialist, is considered one of us. But time and time again, I see insulting comments about Bernie. If Hillary is beyond reproach on DU, Bernie should be too.
I'm glad Mueller and his team are working hard behind the scene.
We need him to expose the corruption more than ever.
Putin is very happy with what he has unleashed in the USA.
Remember when Trump said he wanted term limits?
Haven't heard a peep out of him about it since the election. Of course, it's to his advantage not to have term limits. It forces Repubs to vote for his crappy agenda, because if they don't, they're out the next election.
Imagine if McConnell and Ryan would be forced out because their time was up. Of course some good Democrats would have to go as well. But a more independent Senate and House could only benefit the American people. Or maybe the opposite?
Stupid or nefarious?
Rachel asked if Trump et al are stupid or nefarious. She gave several instances of their erroneous statements, one of which was recently telling us an airline carrier was making its way to North Korea. She said she wishes there was a third option to explain all their mistakes, as having an administration that's either stupid or nefarious doesn't bode well for our country.
