The problem with our elections is that they are too frigging long
Our process is a vestige of an era when it took days to travel from one state to another. People dont need to see every candidate face to face to make a judjenent call..
The duration makes the election too darn expensive and too open to manipulation.
Any thoughts?
What is your age and how much do you have in retirement accounts?
I don't want the numbers.. Just say whether you have enough or not. Just want to get a sense of where people feel they are at. Are you counting on Social security being solvent by the time you retire?
I am 42 and the rate at which I can afford to save after expenses will have me and my wife eating ramen noodles in our golden years. I am not counting on SS benefits being around.

Republicans are more kamikaze in their approach to legislating than we realize.. They probably love taxcuts above all else.
Those of you saying that Senate won't take this bill up are wrong. Immense pressure will be brought to bear on the Senate to pass a version acceptable to the tea party wing. Nuclear Option will be used to by pass Democratic resistance.
My only hope is for people to wake up and create a huge national outcry coupled with industry pushback that will scare the Republicans away.
Should i report a coworker?
He talks derogatarily about women / Muslims etc ..when he thinks he is among the safety of 'The Boys' .. He has refered to my intern as 'Baby Elephant' .. He is openly supportive of Trump as he thinks Trump will kick the muslims out. I have so far asked him to not speak in a disrespectful manner like that .. But every now and then he slips up .. But it is always behind backs..
He is a good worker otherwise and get his stuff done ....should I just ignore him or should i report him
Another factor to consider .. Even if I report him anonymously ..everyone will know its me .. And Iam scared to rock the boat.
