Based on the little that has emerged of the tax bill..

I don't see how can any Republican congressmen from blue states support it. Assuming we Dems are lock step against it.. The bill seems DOA to me.

Or is it simply their opening bid?

Why is it ok for Donald Trump to talk to us like we are fucking idiots?

Saying that Puerto Rico is in the Middle of an ocean.. A very big ocean ..like we don't know where the fuck Puerto Rico is...

And worse .. He is making it sound as though it is far away somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic.

The mother fucker insults our intelligence each time his opens his stupid fucking mouth.

It makes me so mad that I feel his slapping the bejesus out of that conman.

Why the bloody hell does he get away with this shit??

This is so true

http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/politics/2017/09/obamacare_repeal_will_never_die.html

"Obamacare repeal" is like cancer that keeps coming back. We have had to use heavy chemo and radiation to survive so far.

Obamacare repeal isn’t so much dead as it is cryogenically frozen. It will return if, or when, the necessary factors align: a fresh budget resolution next year; a strong 2018 showing, to pad the margin of their majority; Arizona Sen. John McCain getting the process he desires; and so on. A seven-year promise foundational to the identity of a major political party doesn’t die. It just recedes.

There had been some murmuring in the Capitol the past couple of days that Republicans might try to pass tax reform and Obamacare repeal in a combined bill later this year. Republican leaders, though, shut that talk down Tuesday. They are not so silly as to imperil tax cuts—the only thing they really care about—by linking its fate with a health care effort that’s failed time and again these past several months.

Now that his dear redumblican base has had the temerity to reject Trump,

How will he respond?

1) He will say he was forced to support the establishment dude and that, in reality, he was for Moore all along.

2) Throw a temper tantrum

3) He will harbor revenge fatasies and will really make a push to repeal Obamacare - but this time it'll be for real. And no tax cuts for the fucking peasants.

4) Start a war with North Korea and change the topic.

Pray, how will he deal with the grave injury to his fragile ego?

Anyone in here who can explain the dichotomy in reaction to NFL protest?

Personally, I don't feel that a person is disrespectful of the flag or country when he kneels with a hand on the heart. Not one bit. One can protest and love the flag/ country at the same time. I totally get it.

But what about the other side of the coin? What about the people who are deeply offended by the gesture. How does that work? Or do they feel that they are the object of the protests? Or is it driven by racial animosity?

The more I think about it, I can't but feel that all arguments against the protest is a fig leaf covering naked racism.

Can someone take a contrarian view on the protests against the protest, and convince me that it ain't about race?

BREAKING: Sens. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) and Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) will release a revised version of their health-care bill Monday aiming to send more health-care dollars to the states of key holdout Republicans.

The Cassidy-Graham bill overhauls the Affordable Care Act by lumping together spending on subsidies and Medicaid expansion and redistributing it to states in the form of block grants. Alaska would get 3 percent more funding between 2020 and 2026 and Maine would get 43 percent more funding during that time period, according to a summary of the revised legislation obtained Sunday by The Washington Post.

Trump Names Sarah Palin Ambassador to Nambia - Borowitz

https://www.newyorker.com/humor/borowitz-report/trump-names-sarah-palin-ambassador-to-nambia

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Donald J. Trump on Friday capped a busy week of diplomatic activity by naming the former Alaska governor Sarah Palin the United States Ambassador to Nambia.
By naming Palin to this diplomatic post, the United States has become the first nation in the world to formally recognize Nambia’s existence.
In a joint appearance with Trump at the White House, Palin acknowledged that she “didn’t know a lot about Nambia” but said that she was looking forward to receiving a comprehensive briefing on the nation’s history, culture, and customs from the Education Secretary, Betsy DeVos.
“Then it’s Nambia, here I come!” Palin exclaimed.
In a sign that Palin’s appointment was a popular move, a new poll shows that an overwhelming majority of Americans support her permanent relocation to Nambia.
