While I thought it was ludicrous to vote on the constitutionality of the impeachment of djt, I wanted to personally thank you for your vote to allow the “trial” to proceed.

I would ask you to vote to convict as well. I know that this is unlikely, but you should know that all Americans are watching the Senators in this impeachment proceeding.

All Senators in chambers on Jan 6, know what happened and should be horrified. But, unfortunately Republican Senators, by and large, are NOT.

Sir, please vote to convict.

Honoring your stand yesterday with a vote to convict is the only right choice.

A New Zealand Māori leader who was ejected from parliament this week for refusing to wear a necktie in the chamber said forcing him to a Western dress code was a breach of his rights and an attempt to suppress indigenous culture.

Speaker Trevor Mallard twice prevented Rawiri Waititi from asking questions in the debating chamber on Tuesday, insisting that MPs could only ask a question if they were wearing a tie.

Waititi, 40, who became an MP for the first time in the election last October, was wearing a taonga, a Māori greenstone pendant, instead.

When Waititi continued with his question after being stopped a second time, Mallard ordered him to leave.
"It's not about ties, it's about cultural identity, mate," Waititi said as he exited the chamber.

Watching the trial of djt on the West Coast

When I get up around 5ish things will already be rolling on the East Coast and I can watch for a while before work.

Hope there is a thread to read later in the day cuz I won’t be anywhere near tv/internet.

US District Judge Beryl Howell halts release order by Seattle Magistrate Judge

A self described Sargent of Arms of the Seattle Proud Boys was set to be released...then same judge halts order...then US District Judge gets involved.
Now Ethan Nordean will be transported to DC by US Marshalls.

I was pissed reading about this this morning! He was certainly a flight risk! The Seattle judge effed this up big time! But Judge Howell says NOT SO FAST!
