So I had this interview last Thursday...

I am between jobs right now. So when this company called to schedule the interview I was excited and so let me explain I applied to an add late May got a call in early June asking if I was still interested in a position I said yes. They e-mailed me a form to fill out. didn't hear anything for about 2 weeks. Then they called back to schedule the interview.


Went to the interview was there for 1 hour 10 minutes. At first I was nervous because they got me confused with another candidate and well after talking with me instead of only one team of the company was interested in me 3 different teams show interests. So before leaving I was told I would need 7 references all professional and all need to be able to be contacted by e-mail. They did say they where doing more interviews. Now they didn't tell me when or how to get them the references. I am going on the assumption that when they do all the interviews and have decided who they want to move on they will contact me again. It is just making me nervous to hear from them again.

I now have 2 more interviews for late this week and early next. I think this one I did though might be the best. Chance for advancement while the other 2 that will pay nice are just entry level customer service which doesn't seem to have any advancement.

So I am checking my e-mail daily. Nervous and am beginning to wonder if I screwed up the interview.

My flaw/short coming/whatever you want to call it.

I am admitting this in hopes I can fix this in myself to be a better person. I believe I am racists to a group of people. I have friends who are straight and who are gay/lesbian I even have a Transgender friend. I have friends of all racists and nationalities but I have to admit when I see one pairing I do a mental gasp and get surprise.

If a I see a couple where one is person is white and one is African/African-American. I skip a beat before I accept it or am my normal self. The black friend of that couple think I am not racist That it is a subconscious condition that comes from living in America that most people have and I have not acted any differently to them (they are a Gay couple) than the other gay couple I know.


So what can I do to fix this in myself.

In the fucking 21st century we can't get past this stupid idea that a beautiful woman is either a size 2 or 4. Real women have curves And meat on the bones. You can be a certain height and be a size 6 or 8 or even 10 and look hot.

Yes, I will admit I am over weight bell I will say fucking obese. Yes, I know it is not good for me But that is my struggle. I am thinking of my nieces and cousins and just young girls who need more than Barbie dolls to look up too.

Let's make those Millie Dresselhouse (spelling of her name is probably wrong. On my tablet sorry.) Dolls a reality and while we are at it let's make Susan B. Anthony dolls and Sally Ride Dolls and Mollie Ives and other real looking smart and awesome women.

I am not bashing cheerleaders Goddess knows they do have a place but they don't have to be unrealistic!

It is more important NOW more than ever for the media to stand up to the President!

the next press briefing Spicer or Huckabee try to bull sit They all need to get up and walk out. Corporate media need to stop letting White House talking heads get away with crap.

Stand up 4th estate.

Don't argue about profits or being able to have access. We need to let the media know we expect this of them.
