He also fends of some shady questions where Todd attempts to corner him into saying he is favoring one democrat over another in the primary process. It's nice to see how educated Perez is on the candidate Todd mentions yet the DNC is letting the primary play out.
I'm glad we are heading back to a fifty state strategy. Perez has his hands full and certain factions are gunning for him before he has even had a chance.

NHS to fund baby Oliver's US heart operation
Doctors in Boston have agreed to operate on Oliver Cameron, who was born with a rare heart tumour, after his first birthday in January.
Earlier, his parents warned time was running out to raise the £150,000 needed for his treatment.
The NHS said it would pay because the procedure was not available in the UK.
Lydia and Tim Cameron, from Wantage in Oxfordshire, have already raised £130,000 for the surgery to have Oliver's tumour removed.

Lowell Democrat Niki Tsongas wont seek another term in Congress
US Representative Niki Tsongas said Wednesday that she would not seek another term after representing her Lowell-based district for a decade, an unexpected move that immediately set off a scramble among candidates interested in the open congressional seat.
Tsongas, 71, who had shown all signs of running in 2018, said it was a time for her to retire from public life and enjoy her children and grandchildren.

I received an IRS scam call.
I owe them money and a warrant has been put out for my arrest. You know the deal.
I have had some fun with it and am now looking for other ideas. I do have their number as it was a recorded message. I took up so much of this guys time yesterday that he stopped answering the phone "Department of the Treasury, Officer so and so speaking." Seems to be a one or two person operation with very limited lines.
Any fun ideas?

Freeperville is in full meltdown mode. They are over the top with their Clinton hate, as usual, but now they are absolutely furious at anything Republican as well. They have become so paranoid that any conspiracy theory that backs up their lack of conscience and intellect is simply accepted as the gospel.
I just wanted to share a couple of quotes they had about Manifort and the raid. These people are truly mentally disturbed.
I did find this one absolutely hilarious simply due to how it starts. Bold parts are of my doing.

These people are amazing.
The issue with NK isn't if they have nukes or stable vehicles for those nukes.
It's the 10,000 plus units of artillery and hundreds of missles the north has near the border.
Seoul is under 40 miles from the border.
As crazy as they may be NK knows they will not be successful in a full scale war. They have used these things as a deterrent and for leverage.
There is no possibility of a drawn out armed conflict with NK. If they miscalculate, and a war is started, their only option is to unload their arsenal as rapidly as they can. There are no replenishments after that.
This would be the most intense thirty minutes of war the world has ever seen.
That is my flawed opinion.
Technical question about DU.
About fifty percent of the time DU pages don't seem to fully load for me. The whole pages comes up, I can click any active link on the pages, but my "loading" bar never finishes. The other half of the time the bar goes away in very short order. I'm on an iPhone 7. I don't go to many places where I'm logged in so maybe that has something to do with it. All other functions to my phone seem to be working well. All other sites load quickly. DU does load quickly for me even when it appears to still be loading.

The pushback seems to be clear.
We want our elected officials and those with party positions to hold to the party platform when speaking publicly on reproductive rights.
Here is what the 2016 Democratic Party Platform states. P 37 Para 3

A majority of the country supports choice in most all instances. Same goes for an overwhelming majority of Democrats and a majority of moderate Republicans.
Speaking with one voice should be expected. I'm well aware that people who are anti-choice will be running as Democrats. Most probably in red districts(Those not in red districts will have a tough time in a primary). Depending on the circumstances I understand that a little party money or support might go to that candidate. That doesn't mean it should be advertised. That is the establishment going against the party platform.
That said, some of our biggest players speak a similar tune.

The type of pushback we are seeing does work. Here is a very recent example.
Perez had previously suggested that the Democratic Party should not “demand fealty” on every issue, including abortion. After NARAL’s criticism, however, the DNC Chair put out a statement widely viewed inside and outside the Democratic Party as a demand for unequivocal support for the party’s pro-choice platform.
“Every Democrat, like every American, should support a woman’s right to make her own choices about her body and her health,” the chair said. “That is not negotiable.” He added: “We must speak up for this principle as loudly as ever and with one voice.”

There is nothing overblown about the pushback and I think some positive will even come from it. They just might remember the party platform the next time the speak.
