Orangeutan's JournalTerror is good for Trump's numbers
Gallup smiled on Trump today in a big way. One cant help but think the overnight jump in popularity is due to easily swayable voters who applaud his blustering, nonsensical spouting about the terrorist.

Does Mueller have the power to indict Trump?
Assuming the Repug party hacks baying for him to resign don't get their way and Mueller is allowed to complete his investigation, how much power does he have to force the issue? I heard last night on MSNBC that once he issues a report on his findings, Congress could merely choose to ignore it and not impeach. But does Mueller actually have the power to bring criminal indictments against Trump that the Repug's would be powerless to stave off?
Baseball was a better game before it became Home Run Derby
Juiced balls, body-builder batters taking uppercut swings, fences within easier reach. Whatever is behind the surge in home runs, it makes for a less interesting sport. Unless you like to see batters preen after hitting one.

What is the deal w/ Chuck Grassley?
Why is this guy such a turd? As chair of the judiciary committee, why is he doing everything he can to support blatant obstruction of justice? He's 84 years old and just won reelection. Is he worried about the next election, five years hence?
Trump's Gallup disapproval rating drops 3 pts, approval rises 2 pts. Amazing the political mileage
you can get just from picking up a little black girl and hugging her and planting a smooch on her cheek. Shouldn't be that way, but it is, I guess.
The new normal on Gallup
For about the past 10 days, Trump has been stuck on 34-35 percent approval and 59-60 percent disapproval in Gallup. (Today it's 34/60.) His former all-time low/high has become his average. It will be interesting to see if the gap holds steady, further widens, or eventually goes back to what it was before.
I just met my Congressman (R-Mich) and told him a thing or two
Yes, none other than Fred Upton from St. Joseph, MI, whom W. used to demean with the nickname, "Freddie Boy." I was walking in downtown Kalamazoo when I saw him on the street curb. As I passed him I looked him in the face, and yep, sure enough, it was Freddie Boy. A step or two past him, I turned and called, "Mr. Upton!" He had already started to cross the street, but he turned and I walked up to him and grabbed his hand. I had on business casual attire, as did he.
"I'm ________ _____ from Kalamazoo," I said. "I just hope you will support impeachment for our president at the soonest possible moment."
Well, he wrenched loose from my grasp without a word and continued on his way. Had I been quicker-witted, I should have called after him, "Party over country!" In fact, what I wish I had said to him while I had hold of his hand was, "Why are you supporting party over country in the face of treason?"
But I only had a moment's notice to think of something. : b
