Polybius's JournalSo when does Biden announce his re-election plans?
I happen to think he will run for re-election, but I'm curious how long others think it will take. When do you think he will officially announce his plans?
Edited for recent past re-election timelines:
Obama did it on April 4, 2011. W Bush did it on May 16, 2003. Clinton did it on April 14, 1995.
'Warped and deranged': Hitler Valentine's Day products withdrawn from sale

The Spicy Baboon website sells a range of T-shirts, coffee mugs, mouse pads and similar products emblazoned with cheeky images.
One image of Hitler with a rose between his teeth, surrounded by love hearts, and with the phrase Be Mein below it infuriated leading anti-hate campaigner Dr Dvir Abramovich, chairman of the Anti-Defamation Commission.
Anyone who ... believes there is no way to express love than through Hitler, its a very warped and deranged mind, Abramovich said.

Do you favor the removal of the Electoral College?
Simple question, I'm curious to see what the support is here for eliminating the Electoral College. Should we keep it? Support a Constitutional Amendment to repeal it? National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (which could get struck down by the Supreme Court)? Something else?

Source: Variety
In her upcoming memoir, Pamela Anderson details a disturbing incident that took place on the set of Home Improvement in 1991 when she was 23 years old.
On the first day of filming, I walked out of my dressing room, and Tim was in the hallway in his robe. He opened his robe and flashed me quickly completely naked underneath. He said it was only fair, because he had seen me naked. Now were even. I laughed uncomfortably, according to an excerpt in Love, Pamela, which Variety has obtained ahead of the books Jan. 31 release.
Allen, who was 37 at the time of the alleged incident, was presumably referring to Andersons modeling for Playboy, which helped turn the budding actress into an internationally known sex symbol.
No, it never happened. I would never do such a thing, Allen told Variety in a statement.

Manchin says it's a 'mistake' for White House to want Democrats to address debt ceiling without GOP
Source: CNN
Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia said Sunday that its a mistake for the White House to want Democrats to deal with the debt ceiling without negotiating with congressional Republicans.
I think its a mistake because we have to negotiate. This is a democracy that we have. We have a two-party system, if you will, and we should be able to talk and find out where our differences are. And if they are irreconcilable, then you have to move on from there and let people make their decisions, Manchin, a key Senate moderate, told CNNs Dana Bash on State of the Union.
Using the debt ceiling and holding it hostage hasnt worked in the past, Manchin continued, adding that he respectfully disagrees with his partys No. 2 Democrat in the chamber, Majority Whip Dick Durbin, on not negotiating with Republicans.
Every American has to live within a budget. If they dont, theyre in trouble financially. Every business thats successful has to live within a budget. Every state has to live within a budget. Shouldnt the federal government have some guardrails that, say, Hey, guys
youre overreaching here and youre overspending? But then pick your priorities. Thats all, he added.

Donald Trump prepares for his return to Facebook and Twitter
Source: NBC News
Mounting a comeback for the White House, Donald Trump is looking to regain control over his powerful social media accounts.
With access to his Twitter account back, Trump's campaign is formally petitioning Facebooks parent company to unblock his account there after it was locked in response to the U.S. Capitol riot two years ago.
We believe that the ban on President Trumps account on Facebook has dramatically distorted and inhibited the public discourse, Trumps campaign wrote in its letter to Meta on Tuesday, according to a copy reviewed by NBC News.
Trumps campaign didnt threaten a lawsuit, as some sources close to Trump thought he would. It instead talked about the importance of free speech and petitioned Meta for a meeting to discuss President Trumps prompt reinstatement to the platform.

MLK Day wouldn't be possible with today's Republicans
In 1983, it passed House 338 to 90. 13 Democrats and 77 Republicans voted No, while 249 Democrats and 89 Republicans voted Yes.
In the Senate, it passed 78 to 22. 4 Democrats and 18 Republicans voted No, while 41 Democrats and 37 Republicans voted Yes.
Today's Republicans would have filibustered, and I don't think we could have gotten the 60 votes to pass.
