The case for keeping the Trump investigations comingThe more time Trump has to spend defending his indefensible record, the less time he has for other, even more fetid activities. And who knows? It might even convince some Americans that they can’t abide continued support for corruption and creeping authoritarianism.
Better yet, it might convince a few that somebody, anybody, is interested in fighting for what’s right. Disinformation campaigns such as the one we see shaping up to re-elect Trump, classically depend on fear, uncertainty, and doubt. Being hyper-critical and unforgiving might be a minor sin, but backed with hard evidence, it would make it clearer than a cloudless day in Utah just who has political legitimacy and who has been bending, if not breaking, the law for their own benefit. “Judge not, lest ye be judged” might have to become “Judge, lest ye be subjected to another four years of this.”
Better yet, it might convince a few that somebody, anybody, is interested in fighting for what’s right. WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyes: “For the moment we are not witnessing the uncontained global spread of this virus and we are not witnessing large-scale deaths... [countries should be] doing everything we can to prepare for a potential pandemic.”
And you know who will be worse hit... old people, those with underlying health conditions and those with limited access to robust healthcare... Trump and the idiots that surround him have not one clue how to handle this if it becomes a pandemic. Do you think they will think he is the next best thing to the second coming when they lie struggling for breath in shitty isolation? They have systematically abolished the support systems that everyone would expect during a crisis... and people only notice this kind of shit when it is suddenly needed. Now I truly hope that the virus does not take hold anywhere in America, of course I do, but if it does... yelp.

It is almost like he has never read the constitution..?!?! Judge tampering in the highest court of the land... Heh the fucker is officially out of control
Hitler decreed that the “People’s Court” would replace trial courts in political cases, including treason. Only loyal Nazis could be judges and treason would be defined as any form of opposition to National Socialism.
Trump demands two female Supreme Court justices recuse themselves from all of his cases...

Trump quoted Fox News personality Laura Ingraham as saying Justice Sonia Sotomayor “accuses GOP appointed justices of being biased in favor of Trump.”
“This is a terrible thing to say,” Trump argued.
The president did not see the comments as a warning of justices who were not acting impartially but instead said Sotomayor was trying to “shame” fellow justices into voting her way.
He then also lashed out at Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg.
“She never criticized Justice Ginsberg when she called me a ‘faker’. Both should recuse themselves on all Trump, or Trump related, matters!” Trump demanded, complete with an exclamation mark.
“While ‘elections have consequences’, I only ask for fairness, especially when it comes to decisions made by the United States Supreme Court,” Trump claimed.

Ideological purity be damned
After Nevada, if Sanders wins the nomination, I trust every democratic candidate and every voter will get behind him, but I truly cannot see how a 1960’s socialist with health issues is the obvious choice to beat Trump – and that is all that matters, ideological purity be damned. The political culture in the UK is to generally much more liberal than the US, and we have been condemned to a really right wing government for the next five years, because Labour, with Corbyn at its head, swung too far left for the average voter. The Boris/Trump Corbyn/Sanders similarities are worrisome. Deja vu is knocking on the door. An ego-driven right-wing narcissist with a 'take our country back' manifesto versus an old tub-thumping socialist who is challenging a status quo that has driven the political culture for the last 50 years. I think that this might be creating a more complex route to victory than is necessary. And so the question that needs to be answered and the strategy that needs to be sorted is how do we ensure a different outcome from the UK GE, because as you all know, I state without exaggeration that the fate of the world rides on the outcome of November 2020.
