When you saw people storm a state capitol building with rifles, you celebrated their freedom to exercise the first and second amendments.
When you saw a white man wearing a badge and an American flag kneel on the neck of a black man for seven minutes until he was dead...
You said nothing.
And when you saw thousands take to the streets to protest this overt act of oppression, tyranny, fascism, and stolen breath, again you complain - on behalf of the business owners, and the police, and your patriotism, and your rights.

Madeleine McCann: German prisoner identified as suspect

A 43-year-old German prisoner who travelled around Portugal in a camper van is now the focus of Scotland Yard's investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.
Police believe he was in the area where the three-year-old was last seen in May 2007.
They are appealing for information about the van and the suspect's other vehicle, a Jaguar.
The man transferred it to someone else's name the day after she vanished.

American Dystopia should be a near future fictional book plot. And yet here we are...
The Backdrop: A greasy, illiterate, ridiculous, crooked thug, fascist fake billionaire is the President. He has been bought and paid for by foreign countries to facilitate the destruction of the USA from within. A fascist is his propaganda chief and a fascist is his right hand man. The supposed upholder of justice for the country is his blatant bagman (also fascist) and the Department of Justice would be better named the Department for the Protection of Trumps Criminal Enterprise. Far right theocracy loving white supremacist fascists have infiltrated all branches of government, including the highest court in the land, leading to the constitution to be subsumed by their vision of an autocratic and fascist white Christian state.
Scene One: A pandemic is sweeping the world. People from ethnic minority communities are disproportionately affected in terms of morbidity rates. There has been little federal response and the fascists in power are demanding that life goes back to normal – even though this disease continues to kill the old and vulnerable at horrific rates. White supremacists take to the streets wielding high powered arms to demand that their rights must trump the rights of the vulnerable not to die. 40,000,000 people have lost their jobs, foodbanks are running out of food and many people face very uncertain economic futures.
Scene Two: A black man is murdered by a police man (again), in a horrifyingly casual and relaxed way, as in Trumps America, police have been given explicit permission to be their violent and subjugating worst. The images sweep the world and as people howl in protest at the ongoing lynching of their sons and daughter, peaceful protesters are beaten, tear gassed and shot at by police in cities across the nation as the President puts fully armed soldiers on the streets, including with bayonets, outside the most iconic symbol of the republic.
Scene Three: Curfews have been put in place across the land with ongoing violent suppression of protest. Police are given almost unlimited power to act with vicious impunity, including demanding that people who are queuing to vote in a democratic election need to go home, that the curfew exceeds their enfranchisement.
So far so very very future dystopian right now. But I am a sucker for happy endings.

End Scene: November 2020. The fascists don’t realise that the power of the people is greater that the people in power, the criminal cabal at the heart of power all get arrested, President Biden gets busy fixing all the shit the fascists broke and America Dystopia goes back to being fiction. Hurrah!

As America burns in fury...
This could be about this administration, hands down. The Republican Party in the Trump era have taken advantage of the time they have had to destroy and burn down America. And when good people just stood back and did nothing to stop their worst impulses, because their 401 k was going up, or the market was ever increasing. As America burns in fury the republicans did this. There is no such thing as civil society when people are treated as less than other because of the colour of their skin. The bad people have seeded nasty throughout society, but on the bright side, looking at the polls and protests it looks like some of the good people are waking up to just how fucking nasty they are. They took their time, hey, and I for once wants to see bucket loads of punishment and repentance for every fucker that has enabled this descent into anarchy.

Although I have serious concerns about Trumps ability to read so he may not have clocked it. Or maybe he did and thinks someone is making an indecent proposal because he is so genius and handsome... he certainly will not take if as a sign of what America thinks of him - it could not possibly be anything like that. 👀
