Exactly this. There is a very definite light at the end of the tunnel for you. We in the UK are stuck with another 4 years of the bluster, lies and bollocks of the far right, who refuse to back down on anything, no matter how badly they have fucked up.
Oh Conservatives, just want to point out you are a fascist if...
you still plan to vote for and speak for Trump after watching that debate. Never mind the shit show awfulness of his performance, never mind his lies, distortions and bollocks, his disrespect to the American people and the heart wrenching moment of his dismissal of Biden's dead son. Never mind his constant belligerent interruption and his petulant demeanour. All of that was going to be a given. But when he spoke directly to the Nazi far right white supremacist Proud Boys and told them to stand by they heard him loud and clear and proudly (they have already produced insignia for their nonsense faux uniforms, - stand back, stand by), and when he said that his supporters should protect the polls on election day, he was calling to arms far right fascistic militias onto the streets of America to break democracy, all to protect his lying tax evading grifting orange lard arse.
So, at this point, after what we witnessed last night, if you still plan to support this monster, you are a fascist. Period. And that includes every single republican up and down ticket all across America who does not come out immediately to condemn this call to fascist arms. Although to be fair, maybe they are happy little fascists, maybe for a section of the population Trump is exactly who they are. You are known by the company you keep, after all.
Obama addresses voters in Biden campaign video released on The Shade Room
In the video, which has been shared with PBS before its release on The Shade Room, Mr Obama urges the US public to vote as early as possible for Mr Biden.
As you know, the election is coming up, and Ive got just one word for you: vote, the former president says. Actually, Ive got two: vote early.
Without mentioning president Donald Trump by name, Mr Obama then adds: Right now, from the White House on down, folks are working to keep people from voting, especially communities of colour.
In the least surprising news ever McTurtle has a problem with a female moderator
Of course he is a misogynistic nasty fucker so no surprise there - he who has actively voted against ALL legislation that could actively improve the lives of over 50% of the population, and wants Gilead by the back door for power. But in 2020 any network that is hosting a debate should tell anyone who is refusing a female moderator, that nope, she is turning up, feel free to also turn up, and empty chair them if they don't. It is ridiculous. Fun fact, when BoJo refused to turn up to the climate change debate in last years election they put an ice statue in his place. Maybe with Mitch they could put a gigantic pink hat, or a caged kid? Heh. Of course this is Kentucky where misogyny along with racism is the point, so he will get away with it. Again. Tiresome shit.

This is what non-partisan reproductive justice looks like...
I had to go to my local doctors today to see the nurse. Just some routine stuff that the NHS likes to do to you every year to make sure you are not falling over. I was wondering about the waiting room being the only person there and all the seats strapped up and noticed this poster. This is what happens when a uterus is not weaponised for patriarchy and control. Now dont get me wrong we are still a patriarchy in many different ways, in some ways worse than the US, however on this, I am thankful that for generations of girls and women this is not an issue at all.
We know that in the US womens access to abortion in red states has been systemically reduced to near zero, by the far-right religious zealots who control state legislatures. With the nomination of a very far right religious cray cray to the supreme court, this will without any doubt lead to the death of Roe v Wade and red states across the land will stop access to any safe abortions at all and I am very sure will criminalise and jail women who go to safe haven states which will undoubtedly pop up to access abortion where it will remain legal. Meanwhile in the UK, this issue is just not up for debate and any politician trying to make political hay about womens access to reproductive justice, in its myriad of forms, would lose his seat in a heartbeat. In a civic society that at least presents that it wants to try and treat its citizenry as equal participants in democracy, (I mean we are shit at it, but there is a sheen of pretence) we do not do God in our leaders. They may have faith, or not, but other than the odd outlier, they do not bring it up with the great unwashed. So, a woman seeking support to access a termination can go into any Doctors Office in the land and get the help they need. They can get free contraceptions on the NHS, and access to free sexual health clinics if they do not want to see a family doctor. If anyone of any stripe tried to reduce access or defund any part of that they know that the consequences would be felt at the next election. In fact, you know what, no politician is stupid enough to even try and piss off over 50% of the population on a settled matter. Non partisan and not part of the culture war, apart from a handful of wingnuts that get very little traction, I wish it were so for my sisters across the pond.
Digital Jim Crow - Suppression of 3.5 million black voters in 2016 by Trump Campaign
Channel 4 news (UK) is reporting that the Trump campaign targeted millions of black voters to deter them from voting. There has been a massive leak of the campaign database, which shows what information about every voter and how they used it. In one of the biggest data dumps ever they are reporting that they database held detailed information on 200 million people - used to bombard them with tailored messages. 3.5 million black people were targeted with messages not to vote. They identified and classified people into audiences/groups. They had a group called deterrents, who were black, the Trump campaign knew they could not win them over so did whatever they could so they would not turn up to the poll, actively trying to silence the POC he so obviously despises. Strategic disenfranchisement... getting people to stay at home on voting day, and it worked in swing states on the data they are reporting tonight. Do you remember Trump chatting after the election about drop in black voter turnout helped him win the seat? Heh... In one Wisconsin precinct alone only 36% of deterrents turned out to vote, overall turnout fell from 75% in 20120 to 56% in 2016. And plenty more examples just like that ward by ward. 20-30% turnout deficit over and over.
I am sure there will be much more to come.

Although not sure if you will be able to access in America. so transcript here:
It reveals that 3.5 million Black Americans were categorised by Donald Trumps campaign as Deterrence voters they wanted to stay home on election day.
Tonight, civil rights campaigners said the evidence amounted to a new form of voter suppression and called on Facebook to disclose ads and targeting information that has never been made public.
The Deterrence project can be revealed after Channel 4 News obtained the database used by Trumps digital campaign team credited with helping deliver his shock victory to become president four years ago.
Vast in scale, it contains details on almost 200 million Americans, among more than 5,000 files, which together amass almost 5 terabytes of data making it one of the biggest leaks in history.
It reveals not only the huge amounts of data held on every individual voter, but how that data was used and manipulated by models and algorithms.
In 16 key battleground states, millions of Americans were separated by an algorithm into one of eight categories, also described as audiences, so they could then be targeted with tailored ads on Facebook and other platforms.
One of the categories was named Deterrence, which was later described publicly by Trumps chief data scientist as containing people that the campaign hope dont show up to vote.
Analysis by Channel 4 News shows Black Americans historically a community targeted with voter suppression tactics were disproportionately marked Deterrence by the 2016 campaign.
In total, 3.5 million Black Americans were marked Deterrence.
In Georgia, despite Black people constituting 32% of the population, they made up 61% of the Deterrence category. In North Carolina, Black people are 22% of the population but were 46% of Deterrence. In Wisconsin, Black people constitute just 5.4% of the population but made up 17% of Deterrence.
The disproportionate categorising of Black Americans for Deterrence is seen across the US. Overall, people of colour labelled as Black, Hispanic, Asian and Other groups made up 54% of the Deterrence category. In contrast, other categories of voters the campaign wished to attract were overwhelmingly white.
The 2016 campaign preceded the first fall in Black turnout in 20 years and allowed Donald Trump to take shock victories in key states like Wisconsin and Michigan by wafer-thin margins, reaching the White House despite losing the popular vote to Hillary Clinton.
Trumps digital campaign, called Project Alamo and based in San Antonio, Texas, involved a team from the now defunct British company Cambridge Analytica, working with a team from the Republican National Committee. Two senior members of the Cambridge Analytica team are working on the Trump 2020 campaign.
Cambridge Analytica collapsed after investigations by Channel 4 News, The Guardian and the New York Times in 2018.
Facebook is facing calls to ban political advertising, following an international backlash over the use of its platform to spread misinformation, disinformation, and suppression during election campaigns.
The Trump campaign spent £44 million on Facebook ads alone during 2016, posting almost six million different versions of highly targeted messages that were pumped directly into the feeds of target voters across America, helped by a Facebook employee embedded within the Trump campaign.
But many of the ads were so called dark posts, which could vanish from recipients feeds once a campaign stopped paying for them.
It means no complete public record exists of the ads posted on Facebook during the 2016 campaign or the audience lists used to target voters. The platform offered no Ad Library at the time.
Without Facebook or the campaign itself revealing the information, it means its not possible to ascertain exactly how potential voters in the Deterrence group may have been targeted on Facebook.
The Trump campaign itself has categorically stated that it did not target African Americans.
Brad Parscale, the campaigns 2016 digital director told PBS Frontline: I would say Im nearly 100 percent sure we did not run any campaigns that targeted even African Americans.
But Channel 4 News has uncovered evidence that the campaign did target Black voters with negative ads designed to crush Hillary Clintons turnout.
These included videos featuring Hillary Clinton referring to Black youths as super predators which aired on television 402 times in October 2016 and received millions of views on Facebook.
In one confidential document seen by Channel 4 News, Cambridge Analytica admitted the Trump campaign did target AA (African Americans) with what it called the Predators video spending $55,000 USD in the state of Georgia alone.
Reacting to the Channel 4 News revelations, Jamal Watkins, vice president of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) branded it a modern-day suppression campaign, using data and digital technology to keep Black voters at home.
He said: The thing thats shocking slash troubling about this is that theres this category of suppression. That Deterrence part. So, we use data similar to voter file data but its to motivate, persuade and encourage folks to participate. We dont use the data to say who can we deter and keep at home. That just seems, fundamentally, its a shift from the notion of democracy.
Its not may the best candidate win at that point its may the best well-funded machine suppress voters and keep them at home thereby rigging the election so that someone can win.
He added: I dont believe Facebook has fully disclosed their role, and fully disclosed the types of ads that were run, who was involved and literally how they may have been embedded in, say, the Trump campaign to make this all come to life.
Facebook is a very profitable platform. It reaches billions of folks every day. It doesnt need this kind of money. If it were to monitor and check these suppressive ads and say this is not the platform for this type of misinformation disinformation suppression tactics, Mark Zuckerberg would still live well, and eat well.
Today, a Facebook spokesperson said: Since 2016, elections have changed and so has Facebook what happened with Cambridge Analytica couldnt happen today. We have 35,000 people working to ensure the integrity of our platform, created a political ads library and have protected more than 200 elections worldwide. We also have rules prohibiting voter suppression and are running the largest voter information campaign in American history.
The Trump campaign, the Republican National Committee and the White House did not provide any comment to Channel 4 News prior to broadcast.
Pushing through the SCOTUS nomination pre-election may be a fatal mistake for Trump
Think about it, there are a lot of pro-life happy clappy types who are not wedded completely to the cult, but having a conservative court is their most important priority. You know the ones in the pro life crowd that can excuse pretty much everything as long as a candidate promises to steal reproductive justice from right under womens noses? With cray cray women hating woman in for a cert for the seat vacated by the notorious RBG, they have got what they want. A 6-3 court which will kick Roe V Wade into touch the first chance they get. Given this fact, what motivation do they have to turn out for Trump? I am sure that a lot of these women hates the way he talks about and treats women. I am sure a lot of men have struggled with the inability to financially support their families in this time of economic crisis you know these types where the man is the head of the household
I am equally as sure that some have lost loved ones to the pandemic. I am sure that some have been evicted from their homes. So, that being the case, now he has given them what they want, where is the motivation to vote for a man who has fucked up literally everything he has touched in this most difficult of years? I mean Trump does not really care if there is a conservative court, other than his plans to steal the election. That is why he is pushing this through, even though it wont work. But it will decrease the motivation of some of those who voted for him in spite of him, not because of him and McConnell knows this, right? Taken to its logical conclusion, McConnell is happy to sacrifice a 2nd term for Trump to get a conservative court as he sees his red wall start to crumble.
You know he thinks they are losers, right?
Trump has spent years finding every ruse out there to not pay tax. He told us in the 2016 debates that this made him smarter than the saps that actually pay their dues to the state. His base agreed. His base right now are just wishing that they could get away with such egregious behaviour.
Because Trump has no sense of civic responsibility he will look at Biden and actually think Biden a fool for paying his taxes. That Biden is the loser and he is the winner for committing fraud, defrauding the republic he is the supposed leader of. This is good, because now the facts are out there Biden can go on the attack using the data, and Trump can try and claim as much as he wants that he is under audit (and looking at the numbers, if he wasn't he is now) but the majority of the people, excluding the fascist base, will not tolerant such egregious behaviour. After all the average chap and chappette has seen their taxes rise during the Trump years, AND pretty much everyone in the country - including those on unemployment have to pay more tax than this supposed billionaire fantastic business man.
So let him think that those who pay their dues are losers... apart from the cult and the 1% who love him or evade taxes also, he is calling everyone else a loser to if he tries to go with this line of attack to bluster his way out of this.
