In light of Trey Gowdy announcing his resignation from the House Ethics Committee – according to a letter he sent to Speaker Paul Ryan earlier this week -, let’s take a walk down memory lane for a moment when Trey Gowdy said something that certainly raised eyebrows at the time, but never really got the attention it deserved.

Representative Trey Gowdy (R. SC) faced off with CIA director Brennan about his role in the Trump/Russia scandal, and it did not go well for Gowdy, to say the least. Unfortunately for Gowdy, his connections to Donald Trump go deeper than the general public may realize, which just may help explain his clear bias in the scandal.

Gowdy’s super PAC accepted large sums of money starting around the time that the House Intelligence Committee began investigating Trump and his campaign for collusion with Russia to interfere with the 2016 presidential election.

Inquisitr points out, How Trey Gowdy knows that Russia contacts campaigns is unclear at this time. Think Progress noted that there are only two possible reasons for Trey to make this claim.
The first being the “most obvious explanation” that Trey Gowdy is just covering up for Donald Trump.

The other “more disturbing possibility” is that Russians do contact Republican campaigns. But this is not permitted in a campaign.
Any foreign state contact with an election campaign must be disclosed to the FBI and to the appropriate committees. If it is not, it is presumed that there is something to hide.

Trey Gowdy has inserted himself back into the news cycle with his resignation, so it’s time this be investigated.

Trey Gowdy Donor PAC Linked to Russia’s Hack of America

Congressman Trey Gowdy, on the House Intelligence Committee, is funded by PACs which appear also to have funded Russia’s attack on the United States election.

Mr. Gowdy is a former prosecutor who went out of his way to castigate Hillary Clinton for her email server.
When Jason Chaffetz illegally revealed the letter James Comey had sent to the heads of the House and Senate intelligence committees, removing the ‘classified’ markings from the portion he tweeted out to the world, Gowdy wrote:

Trey Gowdy’s main donors are connected directly to Cambridge Analytica, the data company that targeted the US election, washing their Facebook and Twitter targeting with the stolen DNC Vertica database and with state voter rolls that were hacked.

They also appear to be connected to direct funding of Democratic voter suppression and to the Kelhios botnet, which I have reported was both sent from command and control servers operating from Trump hotels, and was paid for by Boris Epshteyn on behalf of both Russia and Trump.

Mr. Gowdy’s funding also connects the Russian hack and the RICO case on the GOP as a body neatly together.

Gowdy’s main donors for the last two years include Great America PAC, which paid for “online voter contact” to various organizations.
These include Media Bridge LLC, World Net Daily and Campaign Solutions..

Media Bridge LLC is, per its website, run by Shane Cory. He also takes responsibility for ‘Renew America PAC’ on Twitter.
It hosts Liberty News Now dot com, which has in the past been hosted on what is a known “Command and Control” malware server.

Renew America PAC is ultimately run by the former Republican Senator Alfonse D’Amato, who defended Russian hacking of the election and attacked the intelligence community in an article in December..

Remember the whistle blower story that involved Mike Flynn and Alex Copson textin' on Inauguration Day? It involved a bunch of people gettin' rich over a huge deal involving nuclear power plants in Saudi Arabia.

Accordin' to the plan, the US military would supply security for 16 nuclear construction sites in Saudi Arabia using Russian nuclear components, but in order for this deal to go thru, the cripplin' Russian Sanctions must be lifted first.

5) Where this gets really interestin' is that ROSATOM's attorney, Scott Balber, is also the lawyer for Agalarov & Kaveladze who was at Don Jr's Trump tower meeting in June 2016. Balber was also formerly the lawyer for Trump and the Miss Universe organization.

6) Remember those mysterious trips Jared Kushner made to Saudi Arabia that went under-reported? To arrange the US military to provide support would require the cooperation of the Commander-in-Chief, Donald J. Trump.

7) Bob Mueller waived decades of prison sentences for Mike Flynn in exchange for important information. Tea believes we are lookin' at a massive "Quid Pro Quo", one of the drivin' motives for Trump to lift Russian Sanctions.

In 2016, Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy of South Carolina reportedly used $150,000 in taxpayer money to settle a veteran-discrimination and retaliation claim with a former aide.
The ex-staffer, an officer in the Air Force Reserves, alleged that Gowdy had discriminated against him after he took leave for his service-related obligations.
At one point, the aide also alleged that Gowdy's high-profile investigation into the 2012 Benghazi attack was taking a partisan turn and focusing on then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

*Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy of South Carolina reportedly settled a veteran discrimination and retaliation claim from a former aide for $150,000 in taxpayer funds, according to a Washington Post report published Friday.

*The confidential settlement was identified in an Office of Compliance report released on Friday. The Post said it was able to link a mention about the settlements contained in the documents to the claims made by Bradley Podliska, the former staffer, identified by The Post.

*Podliska, who was fired in 2015 from the House Benghazi committee investigating the 2012 attacks in Benghazi, Libya, alleged that he was wrongfully terminated in part for his unwillingness to engage in what he believed was a partisan investigation into Hillary Clinton's time as US secretary of state.
