This is from an older article that detailed how excited these scumbags were at brutalizing protesters
Three cops who expressed an eagerness to brutalize protesters unintentionally targeted the one person likely to get them arrested.
Lets whoop some ass, Myers allegedly texted.
The more the merrier!!! Boone allegedly replied. Its gonna get IGNORANT tonight!! But its gonna be a lot of fun beating the hell out of those shitheads once the sun goes down and nobody can tell us apart!!!! He went on to describe a fellow police officer as a BIG OL black dude who is hands on, and who is basically a thug thats on our side. Its he and I that just grab fuckers and toss em around. Later he described cops loading protesters onto prison buses while saying Our streets, in unison, mocking their chant. He added, Did everyone see the protesters getting FUCKED UP in the galleria????? That was awesome.

I'm watching the movie Dark Waters. Parkersburg WVA. Republican stronghold
If you have a chance to watch this awesome movie. Please do. The movie is about Dupont's 20 year cover up about how dangerous PFOA is. The details are extremely disturbing. The movie starts with what was happening in Parkersburg WVA.
My post is not about what Dupont did. Its about how people that live in republican strongholds, will continue to vote against their own interests. Dupont has given to Dems and Republicans. So I don't want to make it seem that just by accepting a corporate donation, something is wrong. Its the support to continue to cause harm that really boggles my mind. The support that these communities continue to give politicians that will not fight for their safety and security.
Dow, gave a million dollars to trump to get what they wanted.
How Dow Chemical Influenced the EPA to Ignore the Scientific Evidence on Chlorpyrifos
Published Oct 11, 2017
Dow Chemical gave $1 million to fund President Trump's inaugural activities, and its chairman and CEO, Andrew Liveris, was a key advisor to the Trump Administration, heading up the presidents since-disbanded American Manufacturing Council. In fact, when Trump signed a February executive order creating federal agency task forces in charge of choosing regulations to roll back, Liveris was standing behind the president.

I keep hearing questions about how to reach trump folks. I don't buy the economic anxiety argument. I believe if you still support trump, you are a bigot yourself. The mind boggling thing for me, communities like Parkersburg that will reject Democratic ideas that would keep them safe, and continue to support the politicians that encourage the polluters to continue to cause harm. How do you reach people that continue to cut off their own noses to spite other people's faces? The people they are voting for, don't give a blip about them. But, they will continue to vote that way.
Rock Omama. - President Obama gives advice to another dad with 2 daughters
This is just too cute.
Thanks for all the love DU- Thanks again for the hearts
Happy Valentines Day to all you great Democrats!
Don't discount " ambulance chasers", they may be our best bet to see justice done
I think the victims of the capitol riots, the families left behind, have good standing to sue trump.
I do hope that the very best personal injury attorneys, are consulting with victims.
We don't need deep dives into these traitorous insurrectionists. Rant against WAPO's story
Link to a post about the WAPO story
Washington Post Flamed for Calling Jenna Ryan Unlikely Capitol Riot Participant
The paper wrote about the economic insecurity of some participants while highlighting Ryans use of a private plane to travel to D.C.
Two Responses that I agree with
New York Times Magazines Nikole Hannah-Jones tweeted, Most people charged with any crime had prior or ongoing money problems. Again, wish wed give this treatment to people who steal in order to eat versus people on flying private jets to do insurrections.

Rant ahead.
WAPO deep dive into the financial problems of the insurrectionists. Newsflash WAPO, unless you are a psychopath, there will be a reason most people commit crimes. The reasons are varied. I don't recall deep dives about poor folks who commit crimes for financial reasons.
Most people don't care. They want the criminal punished.
They don't care that the burglar has a drug problem. They don't care that the teen that robbed the gas station was abandoned by his parents. They don't care that the woman shoplifting has kids at home she can't feed. They don't care that someone passing bad checks lost his job.
In fact, whenever there is killing of an unarmed black man by police, what's the first thing we see in the media? Stories about his criminal past. There is no deep dive into why he committed that past crime, that has nothing to do with why he was murdered anyway. Heck, I've seen people blame Breonna Taylor for her own death because she was once friends with someone that was a criminal.
Furthermore, many Americans live on the brink of financial ruin every day. They don't become traitors and decide to attempt a coup as a result.
So media, please stop. Please stop making excuses for these traitors. I am so damn sick of media trying to understand trump folks.
Its really quite simple. They are bigots and they do not believe in democracy. There really is nothing else to understand.
It almost seems like media starts with the first thought, white folks can't be " bad people". So there must be a valid reason why these people are the way they are.
"First it was economic anxiety of the forgotten man" - meaning poor white men. Well now these traitors turn out to be mostly middle class, and well to do white folks. So we must do a deep dive to understand their financial concerns? GTFOH!
Tell that to the forgotten poor black, brown, native folks. Tell that to the people seriously trying to make a dollar out of 15 cents. People so damn poor, they can't even afford the fees to file for bankruptcy.
I don't want to hear any stories about how many of these traitors filed for bankruptcy, almost lost their homes to foreclosure or anything else.
These same damn people demonize democrats that would work for them to protect them from unfair corporate practices that may make them more vulnerable to bankruptcy. They cling to the people who would put them in those situations. Why is that? Goes back to what I said above, they are bigoted and do not believe in democracy. Its that simple. They don't want a level playing field for everyone.
So spare me media of their sob stories.
Remember this? 'That's a beautiful little girl -- it'd be a shame if something happened to her mom'
Stormy warned us. Anyone still trying to cover up for trump's love for using violence to silence his "enemies", is just as guilty.
They know who trump is. To pretend that trump had nothing to do with that violent mob going to the capitol, is a dereliction of duty.
The adult-film star told Anderson Cooper she was on her way to a fitness class with her infant daughter when an unidentified man approached her.
"A guy walked up on me and said to me: 'Leave Trump alone. Forget the story,'" Clifford said. "Then he leaned around and looked at my daughter and said, 'That's a beautiful little girl it'd be a shame if something happened to her mom.' And then he was gone."
At the time, Clifford had recently discussed the alleged affair in an interview with a sister publication of In Touch magazine. But after Trump's attorney Michael Cohen threatened to sue, it didn't run the story, CBS reported.
Clifford said she was "rattled" by the man's comments and "absolutely" took them as a direct threat. She said her hands were shaking as she went into her exercise class
When asked why she didn't report the man to the police, Clifford said, "Because I was scared."

I adore President Obama and Mrs. Obama. None of them could have convinced me to attempt a coup
Maybe I should be more sympathetic. I know I've heard that you have to give people an off ramp
I'm just not so convinced when it happens so quickly after being arrested. Are you really sorry? Or just sorry you got caught?
Just watched the Qanon Shaman's lawyer on CNN. He went on about the Shaman and others really admired trump. The shaman feels trump let him down, blah blah blah. Poor innocent kid was brainwashed just like the people in Guyana under Jim Jones' spell.
I'm not interested in feeling sorry for him or anyone else that claims they were brainwashed and did horrendous things because of trump.
Like I said, as much as I admire President Obama, and there are others that I consider my heroes, heroines. None of them could convince me to participate in a violent coup or anything heinous.
These are adults.
I had sympathy and empathy for Lee Boyd Malvo who was a child when he was given away by his mother to the DC Sniper and subsequently brainwashed to commit horrific murders as a child. I have sympathy because this kid never had a chance. Never had someone to mold him so that he had a choice to think differently.
These grown ass folks have no excuse.
