Brings to mind good old Spuds McKenzie. If you had a TV or were even half-conscious in the 80s, you may remember the beloved canine beer mascot. But do you remember that the seemingly macho bull terrier was actually a female? Look up:

Letters From an American 3/9/21

Exerpt:
Bob Smietana of the Religion News Service broke the story that evangelical Beth Moore, a hugely popular leader, has left the Southern Baptist Church. A survivor of sexual assault, Moore objected to her denominations support for Trump in light of the Access Hollywood tapes in which he boasted of sexual assault. She has increasingly parted ways with church leaders and now has announced that she is leaving the denomination. Her departure could lead a number of women out of that church.
Actually, they WERE; only they were called "condoms."
AZ Rep Grumbles 'No Masks Were Required' To Curb HIV
State Rep. Joseph Chaplik (R-AZ) argued that if HIV didn't require face masks, COVID doesn't either.

"Rand Paul doodled."
Heather Cox Richardson's daily digest knocked it out of the park again! This is why I read Letters from an American every day.
The defense lawyers problem, of course, is that they are being asked to defend the indefensible. They know it; we know it; Republican senators who have been defended Trump know it. During the video of the insurrection, Trump supporters Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Tom Cotton (R-AR) looked at papers on their desks, Rick Scott (R-FL) looked at papers on his lap, and Rand Paul (R-KY) doodled.

Rebekah Jones drops lawsuit against state of Florida, plans to refile
Source: Washington Post
TALLAHASSEE Former Florida Department of Health whistle-blower Rebekah Jones has moved to dismiss her lawsuit against the Florida Department of Law Enforcement that alleged that the state violated her constitutional rights when agents raided her Tallahassee townhome in December.
Jones lawyer, Richard E. Johnson, said she could not continue the case because of a pending criminal case against her but will refile the lawsuit when that case is resolved.
You cant do a criminal case and a civil case at the same time,' Johnson said Tuesday. The criminal case has to go first. Its better to dismiss it so you can start over with the facts as they exist at the time of refiling.

Jones, who now lives in Washington, D.C. ...
Wait What!? Is it possible my hope that Jones would go to DC to work on Bidens COVID task force is coming true?
Hey, a gal can dream!

In other words ... so much for government in the sunshine.

The Professor of Denial
"In the seven years since the [Sandy Hook] shooting, Fetzer has leveraged his academic credentials to become a leading voice in a community of skeptics who argue the Sandy Hook tragedy and other mass shootings are hoaxes. On his blog and in a book, Nobody Died at Sandy Hook: It Was a FEMA Drill to Promote Gun Control, Fetzer accuses Pozner of circulating a fake death certificate for a fictitious child when he tried to prove his son had lived and died. Those statements are the focus of Pozners lawsuit against Fetzer, who lives in Wisconsin. With DNA tests, government documents, an affidavit from the funeral home, and Pozners sons medical files in the court record, the judge has already ruled for Pozner on summary judgment and declared Fetzers statements false and defamatory. The jury is here only to decide how much Fetzers lies should cost him."
