Can I call you Sam?
Sam, you recently took issue when people questioned the legitimacy of the court on which you serve.
Have you rethought your statements? In view of the latest development in the Georgia grand jury subpoena
of Senator Graham of South Carolina, have you had a change of heart?
Sam, here is a judge who reached out and took a case which should have been adjudicated by others to block sworn
testimony by that senator. That same judge has a wife, who may be impacted by that testimony so he has a
clear conflict of interest. In fact there is a federal law stating that he has to recuse himself because of his wife's
position.
What is your position on this Sam? Why wouldn't this lead people to think that the court on which you serve has
problems with legitimacy? I'm not a great legal scholar. However there are a few who think this decision is a real
issue for the court. Perhaps you can explain it in a manner a lay person can understand.
First pumpkin pie
Of the season.
I have to pick up more pumpkins and see how they store in our cellar.
No freezer so I only have room to freeze about 2 pies worth. Getting the filling here is not cheap.
Date night tonight
The woman who has put up with me for 25 + years and I are heading out to our first Organ Concert since Covid-19.
Diner then what we hope is a great show by a woman from Cologne.
Love the organ in this church.
It is nice for some return to normalicy.
A question of great import
Did Liz Truss have the time in #10 to replace the super expensive wallpaper installed by Boris?
If not it will save money when the Tories put him back into the job......
Narrowly avoided death by chocolate today
This is the start of serious chocolate season here in Bavaria, probably all of Germany. The big displays are now in the stores.
Some displays are over 6 ft tall. I was in the checkout line thinking that I needed to rush and grab something.
Then a portion of a display partially collapses and falls in my direction. What a way to go. Smothered by a bunch of Advent Calendars and truffle boxes. Fortunately for me my trusty cart blocked the cascading chocolate for me.
I knew that the chocolate gauntlet that we have to go through to the cashier was dangerous.
I didn't quite expect and avalanche.
Trever Noah on Librium Liz
Her part starts at 4 minutes.
Boris's Covid parties lasted longer...
Great stuff.

Starting to dig into my CA Ballot
For the most part voting D will be the thing. The fun part is judges and other stuff.
I'm not a fan of propositions. We have had way to much ballot box budgeting in CA.
The first proposition is about right to abortion. I'm in .
The Indian gaming dueling props, I think, will take some reading.
Experiment tonight
Decided to make a quiche that was more similar to a frittata.
Make a crust of mashed potatoes in a 9/10 inch nonstick frying pan.
Then use caramelized onions and mushrooms on that. Then poured in the egg, cream and cheese mixture.
Baked at about 275.
Worked very well. gluten free for those who worry about that.
Next time, I will bake the crust a little first to give it some color on the bottom.
