So what is the Republican endgame?

And who is calling the shots, Trump or Putin?

Hollywood on Netflix.

Watched the trailer, thought it would kinda suck. But it's a pretty damn interesting series. It's got everything in it. Worth a watch, IMHO.

Merles Saunders and Jerry Garcia, Keystone, Berley, CA - 1973

A 2 hour, well recorded Live set during the Live at the Keystone sessions - instrumental and bluesy, jazzy fusiony thing from the early 70's. Lots of links to this music, but I chose this one because I am listening to it in real-time as I type.

Note - This doesn't have any of the songs that are on the album hits on their Live at Keystone album (so far). It's mainly just free-form great music jam.

Merle and Jerry are doing their own things - very, very well - and John Kahn, on bass, keeps it all together. Some great windwork, too. 1/3 of the way through. I am hearing Jerry's early chords that ended up on the Dead's mid-70's albums. You'll know them when you hear 'em.

John Prine - She's My Everything

Stumbled across this a few days ago in my collection of MP3s. This was Prine's best work IMHO*

Do you think there is a war going on in this country?

CV-19 sure has illuminated the Republican endgame. Decimate the populations in urban areas and create political chaos. Trump failed to react to the virus in February and everything the Federal Government is doing is to obstruct any blue state from making a recovery. Short masks, PPE, tests, and focus away from protection and supporting mass contagion. And they have a few hundred morons willing to die for the Trump cause - whatever that may be....his cult can't explain it in any objective sense.

Hang in there, everywhere. It's going to get a hellavu lot worse before we get the tools to protect ourselves - an election and a reckoning is coming. I think we'll see another 5% of his base starting to wonder.

Rolling Stones -1971 - Dead Flowers

This was their sweet spot, IMHO
