For fear his mob will come after them next?
If GOP leadership doesn't oppose trump and their members for sedition,
And oust trump and the members involved , they will remain split , and lose a lot longer , and lose more support . Rejecting these extremists , and racists, and fascists as republicans has to be done to ever regain credibility again. They can't let these people, who are domestic terrorist, scare them any more, and hold them and their party hostage to their demands.
If trump were given a pardon,
He's not only if accepted admitting his guilt, he will be forced to testify under oath about his criminal act of sedition, and expose everyone involved, and helped promote it, and if he lies, he's committed another crime. When has trump ever been truthful ? He could be forced to admit he promoted the election was stolen while knowing it wasn't, to generate money , and incite anger he could use against others. trump is in a corner , and he's in deep , deep trouble, especially as more gets exposed .
Can the 14th amendment be used against members of Congress ?
That aided and abetted trump, or rioters act of sedition, in any way, be banned from ever holding federal office again? They conspired to stall the proceedings, feed information to rioters, and obstruct the counting of the ballots to aid trump and the rioters commit felonies against our government. Can they be removed from office using this now? Will the members giving them a tour before this happened also be included , and be removed?
If a number of republicans switched to be Democrats, giving them the majority,
How long before Mitch would lose his position?
Could they arrest and detain trump and his crew?
Using terrorist laws enacted after 9-11?
How close was we to a mass murder event of 100's of our Congress members in the Senate?
If several of these terrorists had of entered their room they we're hiding in with assault weapons?
Is putins puppet setting us up now?
By escalating violence to then have putins hackers come in to help him cripple us with cyber attacks to take over control? And has many GOP so compromised they're powerless? trump has been doing anything he can to weaken departments in our government for this for some time. They failed at stealing the last election, so now they have to do this or face being exposed. I don't trust putin, or trump.
Time for the law to swoop in with indictments,
For people in our government involved with the attempted coup, and be indicted and taken into custody, and stop this from getting worse.
trumps lied again, and making moves toward escalating his attempts of a coup
Expect his declaring martial law claiming antifa is attacking us. He'll attempt to anyway, and try to prevent President Biden from getting sworn in. President Biden needs to take it inside, and maybe at an undisclosed place. He needs to take this seriously , and take away trump's power to disrupt , and create chaos. trump will soon leak his intentions with things he'll project he can do, then he'll suggest he has the power to prevent the swearing in.
DC should use all forces they have available to remove from DC all that don't live there, and prevent all outsiders from getting into the city for awhile, and get it cleaned up. They also need to go after with indictments people in our government taking part in this, and helped the Domestic terrorists before another attack. Then go after all involved with this, and expose who's behind this. He needs the House and Senate in session with the new Senators ASAP, then pass all his department picks to act at once.
Some of the main instigators , and players need to be rounded up , and jailed, especially if people like Eric Prince, Roger Stone, Flynn, Bannon, and Manafort are involved in this. trump wants this escalated now.
