A firefighter surveying debris in Paradise discovered an unlikely companion near the wreckage: an exceptionally friendly, very fluffy cat.

Ryan Coleman with the Fairview Valley Fire Inc. encountered the gray cat and not long after, she appeared to not want to leave his side. Coleman snapped a few photos and took a video of the feline perched on his shoulders while he walked around.

A video of the affectionate cat sitting on Coleman's shoulders has gone viral on Facebook and has been viewed almost 1.6 million times. The whole post — which includes a few photos of the animal – has been shared more than 32,000 times.

SFGATE has reached out to the Fairview Valley Fire Inc. for more information about the rescue.

Trump administration officials suggested sharing census responses with law enforcement, court docume

Justice Department officials appeared to be considering ways to circumvent the confidentiality of census responses, according to documents filed Friday in a California legal challenge to adding a citizenship question to the decennial survey.

A June 12 email from Department of Justice attorney Ben Aguinaga to acting assistant attorney general John Gore suggests not saying “too much” in response to a question about the confidentiality of the survey, in case the issue were to “come up later for renewed debate.”

Confidentiality is a key feature of the census, and it is protected by the Census Act, which says census data cannot be shared by the Commerce Department, which oversees the survey, with any other government agency or court.

Trump Grades Himself: 'A+ ... Can I Go Higher Than That?

http://www.newser.com/story/267422/trump-grades-himself-a-can-i-go-higher-than-that.html?utm_source=part&utm_medium=uol&utm_campaign=rss_top

(NEWSER) – President Trump sat down with Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday for an interview that ranged from CNN reporter Jim Acosta to the midterms and his own job performance. With regard to the latter, "I think I’m doing a great job. We have the best economy we’ve ever had. We’re doing really well. We would have been at war with North Korea if, let’s say, that administration continued forward." As for how he'd grade himself, Trump responded, "Look, I hate to do it, but I will do it, I would give myself an A+, is that enough? Can I go higher than that?" Other highlights from the interview:

On Jamal Khashoggi, via the AP: "I don't want to hear the tape, no reason for me to hear the tape." Trump calls it "a suffering tape" and says he knows "everything that went on in the tape without having to hear it." Khashoggi's death was "very violent, very vicious and terrible."
On Acosta: Saying his administration is putting together "rules and regulations" for reporters, Trump said that "I think one of the things we’ll do is maybe turn the camera off that faces them because then they don’t have any air time, although I’ll probably be sued for that and maybe, you know, win or lose it, who knows?" Further, "if he misbehaves, we’ll throw him out or we’ll stop the news conference."
