++YARD SIGNS! Get your yard signs early. They are already going fast.

Just a suggestion, but, if you get your yard signs early at your Democratic Headquarters you can avoid the last minute rush and dearth of them near the election season. Plus NOW is when you can get them for free. Get your signs early, get them in when your laws allow, and remember to keep your yard mowed and looking nice as a reflection of the type of voters we are.

"Mow Votes" (More votes...) Pay The Vote Forward "Grass"-Root Democrats

First off...I'm not blowing my horn here. I'm relating and submitting this story for a larger reason.
Bear w me.
I just mowed a small (took me under 10 minutes) elderly lady's lawn down the street. It vast vastly overgrown and in need of shearing. She came to the just open door and said thanks and waved what looked like some 'green' lightly, in he darkness. I waved and told her absolutely not but that I was glad to see her out bc we need her vote in Nov. She got a big grin on her face and mouthed some words and I just told her to enjoy herself and look out the window. Her grass looked improved. Our city fines people for long grass, and I've known this lady for a long long time. I kind of just did it without asking. The last ten years i just see grandkids come and go, but she,? Hardly ever.
Anyhoo...I digress, point is this..someone said in here today how bitter and vitriolic the debate had become. It bothers me that we have to even discuss the porcine(?) behavior of these people, but, we have to meet fire w fire until we overcome and heal from this debacle.
Maybe this is how we can approach the neighbors to do something nice, re-establish communication, and build a consensus of kindness and safety on the block BEFORE we are called on to go through the political process this time. Every vote counts..
Kind of start a"GRASS"-roots movement that shows and reminds people the spirit and kindness of Democrats as a whole. It took literally 5 minutes and I got some exercise too. Mow someones grass for nothing. Remind them to vote. "Mow Votes"
When I put my signs out first, maybe they will feel like following my lead. I know that lady down the way will for sure. If nothing else she knows somebody in the neighborhood has their eye out for them. Seems like we can do small things like this and win over or remind Democrats who are beaten down, that they aren't alone. "Mow votes"
ps...i looked out side around noon and i swear, I saw a little sunlight coming through the dark clouds. not sure what it is (wink wink) but Im not going to jinx it. Gotta look up to see it.
Crutchez.
Pay the Vote Forward. "Mow Votes"

About Crutchez_CuiBono

Big Democrat here. Honest and truly no B.S. I have read DU for over a decade and just recently felt the need to sign up and support others, and sometimes push-back on things that I feel are detrimental to our platform and our goals. I hope never to offend anyone, and often, I use some humor (In my mind), to get my point across. At NO time am I interested in arguing with anyone here bc, to me, it's supposed to be fun. Enjoy this while we can bc w Net Neutrality, and the GOP wringing their hands about how they can control and manipulate the internet, we may actually be at the apex for our freedoms online. Hope not. But, maybe. I wish all of us a happy and healthy day. Cheerio, pip pip, and good day to all.
