S.E. TN Liberal's JournalHave you read the book; "Stupid White Men", by Michael Moore?
It goes a long way to explain the stupid things white men are doing to the nation, the world, and thus, to themselves.

It is worth reading. Sadly, the stupid can not be fixed.
"A Canadian Basic Income Could Cost Much Less Than The $43-Billion Estimate. Here's How."
If you are not familiar with the concept of "Basic Income":

"...But this raw cost estimate is a very simplified snapshot. It just models what the government would have to spend to deliver the basic income, if nothing else changed. But with a basic income, plenty would change.
First, we could expect a steep drop in the poverty rate. And that, in turn, could mean big savings for governments, because poverty is a major expense particularly when it comes to health care.
"Poverty is the greatest predictor of hospitalization and health problems," says Hugh Segal, the retired conservative politician who essentially designed Ontario's basic income pilot project..."...

This is an issue that deserves far more looking at in the US.
Any politician who favored having a "Basic Income" for all Americans would get my support.
"Is the Two-Party System Doomed?"
"...Four times in recent history, we've had presidential elections end either in nearly perfect statistical ties (Kennedy-Nixon in 1960, Nixon-Humphrey in 1968) or in contests close enough where there was a disparity between electoral and popular votes (Bush-Gore 2000, and Clinton-Trump 2016).
As Noam Chomsky wrote after the Bush/Gore fiasco, about the only scenario where you'd expect to see a contest of a hundred-plus million voters end in a statistical tie would either be a completely random process, or one where voters were asked to make a choice about something totally unrelated to their lives,..."...

Irony much?
So many republican'ts these days are whining about how we have to stop being so "PC", (politically correct), but damn, they sure do demand a comedian be PC when it comes to their lying administration.
They say it is ok to insult women, LBGTQ people, handicap people, homeless people, ...etc. But don't dare even mention the never-ending flow of lies coming from TraitorTrump and his lackeys.
"MSNBC 'Reporters Make Mistakes', Trump Must Apologize for His 'Lies'", from last December
Still waiting:
"No, Idiots, Michelle Wolf Did Not Attack Sarah Sanders' Appearance"
It is worth reading;
"...Heres the problem: Michelle Wolf did nothing of the sort during her excellent performance. The remark in question was that shes resourceful because she burns facts and then she uses that ash to create a perfect smokey eye...."
https://notmypot.us/2018/04/29/no-idiots-michelle-wolf-did-not-attack-sarah-sanders-appearance/
So, come Monday morning, will Sarah be as comfortable telling lies as always?
Can she finally stop her damn lying?
If she continues with her lying, she deserves everything said about her.
"The Last Slave"
"...In 1931, Zora Neale Hurston sought to publish the story of Cudjo Lewis, the final slave-ship survivor. Instead it languished in a vault. Until now...."

Rec if you agree: I applaud Michelle Wolf for calling out Sarah Sanders for her constant lies.
To her face no less.
I loved it.
My comment about Ryan firing the Chaplin...
The Chaplin was wasting his breath suggesting a room full of conservatives should care about the poor.
Real Christians don't have to be reminded to care for the poor.
The X-tians in the republican't party can't give a shit about the poor.
