If the players must show allegiance and respect for the flag then the owners must do the same. A rule needs to be added to the NFL bylaws prohibiting the invoicing of our armed forces for pre-game military displays. In fact, they should be forced to pay taxpayers back for the privilege of using our fighter jets and military personnel.

You are correct Lebowski. They were shamed into it once it was exposed. I should have known that before posting. My anger at their cowardice caused an immediate gut reaction.

Stahl loves her seat at the table of Washington elites more than she loves this country or democracy.
This encounter should have been known to the public immediately. She is a correspondent on one of the highest rated and most watched shows of the past 40 years and she says nothing. His duplicity should have been exposed on 60 minutes immediately!
She did the same thing with Reagan. She interviewed him and realized he was in the throes of dementia yet said nothing for 14 years.Imagine the damage she could have prevented at the time by alerting the public that Reagan was impaired and not capable of leading. We wouldn't be dealing with the "Saint Ronny" myth we are dealing with today.
