Former NRA director exposed as member of "Identity Evropa" fascist movement

Howard J. Fezell posted as “Singleton Mosby – WV” in Identity Evropa’s “Nice Respectable People Group” Discord server. Fezell, who is 66-years-old, was formerly a director and board member of the National Rifle Association and remained with the right-wing organization until he and others were ousted by Wayne LaPierre and his loyalists in the late 1990’s. Fezell has previously been in trouble with the Maryland Bar Association, and appears to be living in West Virginia now.

Fezell’s membership in Identity Evropa further demonstrates the various connections between ultra-powerful mainstream right-wing organizations and fascist movements. According to his posts in IE’s Discord server, Fezell joined the neo-nazi group in May of 2018.

Posting as “Singleton Mosby,” Fezell also revealed his full name and occupation (lawyer) in Identity Evropa’s Slack chats (which were also recently exposed by Unicorn Riot). Fezell’s Discord username is a reference to the leader of a confederate cavalry.

This was an outrageous statement from her on Hardball.

She's not hearing constituents or other Dems tell her to hold Trump accountable before he takes us all down?

Light up her twitter!

OUTRAGEOUS to put the brakes on the momentum driving the party. OUTRAGEOUS.

Seth Abramson: Kushner the greatest domestic danger to America - HAIR ON FIRE TIME

[link:https://twitter.com/SethAbramson/status/1104409359843540992|

I'm going to tell you now the chief thing I've learned from many months of research for my forthcoming book Proof of Conspiracy: Jared Kushner is now the greatest domestic danger to America. And many former US government officials know for a fact that what I've just said is true.
7:51 AM - 9 Mar 2019

1/ Whatever you think VP Dick Cheney was to President George W. Bush, take that, make it 3 times as sinister, make Bush 10 times more sociopathic and a devout criminal, and make Cheney stupid, venal, and entirely dismissive of our rule of law and you get what Kushner is to Trump.

2/ Kushner is going to get us into a *devastating* war with Iran. Jared, singlehandedly. Jared, to make money for himself. I'll say now that Jared more richly deserves to be in prison for the rest of his life than Manafort, and Manafort richly deserves it. That's how bad this is.

3/ I'm wondering today more than I ever have before whether Special Counsel Robert Mueller has spoken to one man: Rex Tillerson. For all that Tillerson presented a danger of a corrupt detente between Trump and Putin, I think he knows *now* exactly how dangerous Jared Kushner is.

4/ Don't believe anything you hear from Kushner's attorney or from Kushner. *Ever*. The latter will always be lying to you, and the former will either be lying to you or will have been lied to by his client. I don't know if Mueller can save us from this particular danger or not.

5/ Whether you realize it or not, Kushner having top secret security clearance is *the* issue in American politics right now, as Trump circumventing our intelligence community to give his son-in-law that access is the shibboleth that made the current danger to America *possible*.

6/ Our foreign policy is totally off the rails in a way that is dangerous, and the sole reason for this is the Kushner-Trump axis. Our values have been betrayed in ways that we may shortly feel so keenly our heads will spin. We need whistleblowers to blow their whistles now. /end

PS/ The extent to which you think that Jared Kushner does or does not keep things from his wife is precisely the extent to which you think that Ivanka Trump is complicit in covert actions that should, if there's any justice, put Jared Kushner in prison for a very, very long time.

What would it take to restore the Fairness Doctrine?

Would Dems in the House support that?

As we hope for a takeover of the Senate in 2020, would there be enough support?

FOX has nearly destroyed the country. Something must be done to demand truth on the people's airwaves.

Guardian 3/6 Russian parliament outlaws online disrespect of govt: 15 days in jail for offenders

You know Trump will want this, too.

[link:https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/mar/06/russian-parliament-outlaws-online-disrespect|

Russia’s parliament has approved a controversial law that allows courts to jail people for online “disrespect” of government or state officials, including the president, Vladimir Putin.

The law, which critics say is reminiscent of Soviet-era legislation used to target political dissidents, stipulates fines of up to 100,000 roubles (£1,155) for “indecent” online posts that demonstrate a “blatant disrespect for society, the country, Russia’s official state symbols, the constitution, or the authorities”.

Repeat offenders can be hit with fines of up to twice this sum, or 15 days behind bars.

Alexander Verkhovsky, the head of the Moscow-based Sova Centre, which monitors abuse of anti-extremism legislation, said people could face prosecution for online comments such as “Putin is a bastard”, or jokes about parliament. Others expressed concern that the law was so vaguely worded that almost any online criticism of the authorities, including satirical memes, could be construed as “disrespect”.

“Soon we’ll be telling jokes about the authorities in whispers in the kitchen,” Sergey Shvakin, a Moscow-based lawyer, wrote on Facebook.

2013 When Senate Dems passed an Immigration Bill but Boehner refused to allow by House

"June 2013: Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act, 68-32

Backed by Democrats and 14 Republicans, the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act passed the Senate on a 68-32 vote on June 27, 2013.

The bill directed the Secretary of Homeland Security to submit two reports on border security strategy, including one on where fencing, infrastructure and technology should be used; authorized the use of the National Guard to help secure the border; called for an increase in the number of Border Patrol agents at the southern border, and other border security measures.

It also included provisions to allow immigrants in the country illegally to adjust their immigration status, if they met certain criteria.

"The bipartisan bill that passed today was a compromise … Today, the Senate did its job. It’s now up to the House to do the same," said then-President Barack Obama.

But House Republicans again opposed the Senate immigration proposal, arguing that border security needed to be addressed first before legalizing the status of millions of immigrants.

"I’ve made it clear and I’ll make it clear again, the House does not intend to take up the Senate bill," then-House Speaker John Boehner said July 2013. "The House is going to do its own job in developing an immigration bill."

He reiterated his position in November 2013: "The idea that we’re going to take up a 1,300-page bill that no one had ever read, which is what the Senate did, is not going to happen in the House," Boehner said. "And frankly, I’ll make clear we have no intention of ever going to conference on the Senate bill."

Trumpers are pushing the notion that Dems themselves killed that bill. "Get your facts straight; the Senate leader was Harry Reid (D-NV) and he stopped it from coming to the floor not the Republicans and you said it was a bipartisan bill so put the Blame where it belongs with the Democrats" -- seen on FB feed of a friend, written by his Trump-humping contact.

I want establishment Republicans to be asked what their red line is for TRUMP.

Remaining establishment Republicans, most of whom are hiding. People who may have worked in the Bush administration, or in business, or in government or the military. People who are aghast at his buffoonery and corruption and ignorance and who see the extreme peril in his ways.

What is the red line that will trigger establishment resistance to him?

Is there nothing? Are there no patriots? No one in love with the Constitution?

I must be using the search function wrong.

More than once, I have searched to see if a story has already been posted. Nothing comes up via the search feature, and so I post the story. A few minutes later, I see that someone already has posted it a while earlier, and replies have established it.

Why didn't that turn up in my search?
