Grasswire2
Grasswire2's JournalI just realized how long some of us have been doing this s*t.
For me, it began when I saw the squad of trained robo-blondes arrive on cable news to attack Bill Clinton for consensual sex. (He hadn't lied about it yet.) The blondes were dispatched by Richard Mellon Scaife. They had talking points and boob jobs. And then men (not blonde, no boob jobs, but with the talking points) arrived to assist. We saw an organized propagandized attack weaponized.
What year was that? 1998?
And then came the frantic effort of fellow netizens to break the story of George W. Bush*'s AWOL. Lord, that was quite an effort by many people. Karl Rove foiled it on the Friday before election by leaking W's DUI story to a FOX affiliate and blowing out of the water the AWOL story just as Senator Bob Kerrey was about to hold a press conference to ask W to explain his absence from his post during wartime. !!
Then came Bush v. Gore. Oy.
And 9/11.
And the rigged election of 2004.
The attacks on Obama.
The 2016 election. 'Nuff said.
And here we are. Still at it. Not at 2400 bpm. But with Russians. And Republicans who are open traitors.
That's a freaking twenty years!

The TV ads for Kavanaugh are from the NRA -- perhaps with Russian funding
What a world. Are the Russians paying to smooth the path for Kavanaugh by paying NRA to run ads?

WASHINGTON The National Rifle Association has launched a seven-figure national and regional ad campaign, urging confirmation of President Donald Trump's pick for the Supreme Court, Brett Kavanaugh.
Up this hour on Ari Berman: Nate McMurray (Dem running against Crooked Collins)
Ari just said so.....
Looking forward to seeing this fellow!
Collins' Dem opponent only has $81,000 in campaign funds.
Nate McMurray. 27th District of New York.

Freepers have an OP about DU alleged beatdown of Greens.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3677437/postsFYI. Freepers say that "antifa" is "Anti First Amendment".
Beware of this perversion.
I don't know how widespread this is outside of FR. Saw it there yesterday.
So Stephanie Ruhle called tonight on MSNBC for Facebook to be shut down now.
She said that people can get over not being able to look up their old boyfriend's girlfriend. (A shallow understanding of the more useful aspects of FB)
She and Brian Williams and a CIA-FBI type guest (forgot his name) were trying to think of solutions to the new problem of FB overrun again with Russian action.
She said just shut it down.
But why couldn't FB prohibit political discourse altogether for 100 days? Perhaps only allow recognized news reports from the alphabet networks and major papers and NO COMMENTS? Something like that? Maybe not even the news reports. Or maybe just prohibit all political posts. People could use the Internet to go directly to news outlets. Sans FB.
LA Times 7/28 --- Was The 2016 Election Legitimate?
http://www.latimes.com/opinion/op-ed/la-oe-heffernan-trump-illegitimate-20180728-story.htmlWe need to talk about a forbidden subject: the legitimacy of the current president.
Theres been a code of silence around President Donald Trumps shady victory in 2016. Its one of those tiptoe-around-it things that the American family just doesnt talk about. And with good reason. Whatever your politics, its perilous to question the soundness of an American election.rder and grow harder to ignore.
A nation devoted to majority rule has a minority president. Who squeaked into office on an electoral college technicality. Against most data projections. Using dark money. Using voter suppression. Using Russian disinformation.
As more and more facts about Trumps incongruous victory emerges, the doubts gnaw harder and grow harder to ignore.
