2 Years Of Democrat In OH-12 Since 1938
The only time since 1938 a Democrat held that seat was from 1980-82.
The Democratic Party is probably not thinking it would have been a seat they could hold onto in November.
It's still mighty depressing to lose. We should be winning everywhere, but that's just unrealistic.
Balderson Will Spend His Entire Term Campaigning
He's not going to actually do any work, and it's not like his seat made the difference in control of the House.
Unfortunately he'll have advantage of calling himself the Incumbent, and it's still a repub district, so he'll unfortunately be the favorite, despite the close victory tonight.
The Democrats will probably spend money on districts where their prospects are better, although now they have to consider throwing something O'Connor's way I imagine.
