Claritie Pixie's JournalEl Paso County passes resolution condemning Trump's lies just hours before his rally.
The resolution lays out a number of concerns with Trump's rhetoric surrounding illegal immigration, particularly as it relates to El Paso. The resolution says Trump "has continuously made inaccurate claims about the United States' southern border, including El Paso."
It also cited Trump's State of the Union speech from Tuesday, when he said El Paso's violent crime rate dropped precipitously after a barrier was built along the border. The resolution noted that the county's violent crime rate dropped 62 percent from 1993-2007, and that a fence wasn't installed until 2008.

El Paso is Beto's hometown. This is a brilliant move on his part. He will probably draw a bigger crowd and his speech wil be a glaring contrast to Trump's. I'm hoping for split screen coverage.

I have never been on a date with a man I DID NOT KNOW and ended up in his hotel room.
I've had plenty of opportunities but decided it would be extremely foolish and I could be putting myself in danger. Even if I wanted to have sex with him.
Alone with a stranger in a hotel room - anything could happen.
I haven't decided if I'll watch the SOTU.
Part of me thinks he should be ignored by everyone so that ratings for the speech are in the toilet.
But like a lot of others, I am curious. So I've been thinking about watching with audio off and cc on. That way I can read his word salad objectively without getting emotionally hooked by his voice, and also - watch the body language. I am hoping that Nancy behind his back will throw him off balance.

Billionaires...even millionaires....who have a lot more than they need to make their lives easy, don't share, and still want MORE...it's not normal.
There have been studies done showing that once a person's basic needs of shelter, clothing, food, and comfort are met, anything above and beyond that does not add to quality of life or happiness.
If these people are ever expected to contribute to society and help their fellow man, they act as if someone is trying to steal their Halloween candy. They can become downright mean and nasty. Donald Trump and Howie Shultz are really exposing the ugly underbelly of hoarding money.
(I realize there are philanthropists who help with their wealth, so not talking about them).

It was Heitcamp's bill and got unanimous support in the Senate. Goodlatte single-handedly killed it in the House. They are no longer in office.
The bill aims to strengthen protections for Native American women, who face above-average rates of murder, violence and kidnapping.
