What IS the actual, real, honest to god, unemployment rate right now?

The BLS says 8.4% last month. That's U-3. U-6 is 14.2 (I understand what U-3 and U-6 is.)

Then I read this piece from Forbes with a lot of numbers that tell me that 8.4% is low. And maybe 14.2 is low, too. I hate it when people say the BLS is lying. That's tinfoil hat stuff. But ... WTF?

Did the economy and employment turn UP? How? Where is unemployment now, and where is it headed?

A thousand Americans die every day from the virus…. a 9/11 every three days.

We have 5 million known cases of Coronavirus. And nobody knows the real number because trump has discouraged testing.

trump has encouraged - even threatened - states into “opening up”. And those states that did have seen spikes of cases and deaths.

trump has issued no national policy program on Covid 19. Just like he has no policy program for his “second term”… other than “more of the same”.
Projections show that by 1 December, 310,000 Americans will have died from the virus. That is more Americans than died in combat in all of WWII.

Germany… led by Angela Merkel - a scientist… has a death rate 1/48th of the US death rate. 

Norway’s death rate from the virus is 5 per 100,000 population. Ours is 56 per 100,000. 

US death rate is 4th highest in the world… behind only Peru, Chile, and Brazil. 

The US has 4% of the world population… and 22% of the Covid deaths.


And let’s not forget… trump said 31 times that the virus was a hoax, or would magically disappear. Soon.
