The Canadian federal government is considering naming the largely far-right extremist group Proud Boys a terrorist organization, the office of the Public Safety Minister Bill Blair told Global News.

Mary-Liz Power, a spokesperson for Public Safety Minister Bill Blair told Global News the national security and law-enforcement agencies are "very actively engaged in monitoring the activities of these groups, and gathering the evidence required to support a determination of listing as a Terrorist Organization."

"As Minister Blair has said, we strongly denounce 'ideologically motivated extremists including groups like the Proud Boys, white supremacists, anti-Semitics, Islamophobic and misogynist groups,'" Power told Global News. "Intolerance and hate have no place in our society."

If the Canadian government does declare the international all-male and mostly right-wing organization a terrorist group, it will join a list that includes the Taliban, Al Qaeda, Boko Haram and the Islamic State, according to Global News.

In recent days, Trump has been tweeting about how "the Justice Department and the FBI have done nothing . . . and should be ashamed", "the courts are bad", " the Supreme Court has been totally incompetent", and the like. Trump seems not to understand that his every criticism of the federal government is a direct admission that he has failed as a president, given that the federal agencies and the courts are a product of people he appointed. Trump excels at the Art of the Self-Own.

Also, If we decline to prosecute Donald Trump for his many crimes, he will endlessly prattle on about his that represents a complete exoneration and vindication, proof-positive that he did not thing wrong. Declining to prosecute Trump will serve as the equivalent of endorsing his 2024 presidential candidacy.

Don't forget the States' cases too.

I revere Joe Biden. I admire his call for healing. I applaud his desire to keep The White House out of the Justice Department.

But after this second night of Trump's orgy of pardons and commutations, can there be any doubt that on January 20th, Biden's choice for Attorney General must immediately name a Special Counsel with instructions to review anything and everyone connected to the Trump Criminal Presidency, and prosecute them all? That Special Counsel must also be prepared to challenge a Trump attempt to Self-Pardon throughout the courts.

As you watch this video, remember that none of the 126 Republican members of the House of Representatives have backed away from their seditious endorsement of the Texas lawsuit at the heart of Trump's coup attempt. These criminals - and the ones who have served Trump ranging from William Barr to Stephen Miller to Rudy Giuliani - and the ones who bear the Trump name who have grifted millions from the treasury - must be prosecuted.

Biden is right. We must heal. And to heal, first we must reestablish the rule of law and put them all in jail for the rest of their lives.
