All the job growth from 2018 to 2019 from the US Labor Departmet was false government propaganda

U.S. created 500,000 fewer jobs since 2018 than previously reported, new figures show

Looking for help? Retail stores aren’t hiring a lot of people these days as online rivals eat into sales. The U.S. government on Wednesday said the economy added 501,000 fewer jobs than initially reported.

Turns out hiring wasn’t nearly as strong in 2018 and early 2019 as the government initially reported — by about a half-million jobs.

No doubt Trump's men pressured the Labor department to inflate the figures.

Warning that “time is running out to get it right,” South Bend, Indiana, mayor and Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg unveiled a plan Friday to promote affordable, expansive health care for rural Americans and Native American tribes.

“Today, the gap between rural and urban life expectancy is at its widest point in at least half a century,” according to the plan, which seeks to widely address rural deficits in mental health care and maternal care, as well as care for veterans, Native Americans and black and Hispanic people living in rural areas.

The proposal calls for strengthening the foundation of the Affordable Care Act, better known as Obamacare, and protecting it from Republican attacks while implementing a public health care option.

The Texas Democratic Party sued a conservative activist Thursday, demanding a recording of a meeting he had with Texas House Speaker Dennis Bonnen in which Bonnen allegedly made a quid pro quo offer, in violation of the Texas Election Code.
Defendant Michael Quinn Sullivan secretly recorded a meeting he had with Bonnen, and Bonnen’s top lieutenant, Rep. Dustin Burrows, R-Lubbock, on June 12 at the Texas Capitol in Austin.

[link:https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/chase-bank-amazon-visa-marriott-credit-card-debt-1.5239411|]

Finally, a good-news story about credit card debt.

U.S.-based Chase Bank is forgiving all outstanding debt owed by users of its two Canadian credit cards: the Amazon.ca Rewards Visa and the Marriott Rewards Premier Visa. The bank retired both cards last year and said it's wiping out cardholders' debt to complete its exit from the Canadian credit card market.

Affected customers can't believe their luck.

"I was sort of over the moon all last night, with a smile on my face," said Douglas Turner of Coe Hill, Ont., after learning he's off the hook for the $6,157 still owing on his now-defunct Amazon Visa. "I couldn't believe it."

F.B.I. Agents Raid South Bend Housing Authority Offices

Source: New York Times

F.B.I. agents raided the offices of the Housing Authority of South Bend, Ind., on Wednesday, the second potential distraction back home for the presidential campaign of the city’s mayor, Pete Buttigieg.

No one was arrested during the raid, in which evidence collection teams visited the housing authority’s headquarters on Alonzo Watson Drive about 1 p.m. with a police officer and United States government trucks.

The agency, which runs nine low-income housing facilities in South Bend and is financed by the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development, has been beleaguered by complaints of financial mismanagement for much of the decade.

Such concerns prompted Mr. Buttigieg to replace all six commissioners on the housing authority’s board in 2015.
