NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo had his daily COVID briefing updating NYers back in March and no one panicked

He kept calm and informative. Set out guidelines and let people know where the hard hit areas are. People stayed home and the curve was flattened and remained relatively good even now. Informing the public about COVID doesn't get people in a panic. Same thing happened literally around the world with other countries.

The one exception is Trump and he wanted to lie about COVID.

Did I just hear McConnell describe the Democratic proposal as "aspirational"?

Wasn't the defense for Trump for weeks that he is being aspirational?

MSM is missing the point about re-opening, it is used to lower the unemployment rate/claims

When your employer is opened (and your business owner doesn't have the excuse to remain closed), you have to go to work. If you refuse to go to work when your work place is opened, you do not qualify for unemployment. There is a specific questions when you apply for unemployment (or a few actually) that asks if you can go to work and if your work place is opened.

This move isn't just ignoring the people lives. But it's a specific move to lower the unemployment rate. They want to reject people's unemployment claims.

Looks like a second wave of layoff is starting

My dad just got the layoff notice after being placed on paid leave (using previously year saved leaves or sick leave) after 2 weeks. Bigger companies are starting to layoff people as the stay at home restriction continue and they can't keep people on payroll for much longer with no end in sight. Buckle up as it will continue to get worst.

Stay safe and stay healthy everyone!
