Have you been vaccinated yet?

We just received our first shot this afternoon of pfizer. Second is scheduled. For those having trouble making appointments: we called into albertsons and they sent us a special link to schedule -while on their websites, no appointments were available.

Should Ron Johnson resign?

Given how much of a royal f-up he has been the entire time in the senate?

Do you think Donald Trump will be indicted?

I get he's a rich and powerful man and all, but I really do think that he's tested the limits of impropriety that even somebody like him wouldn't be able to get away with -which means I do think he will be indicted relatively soon. What say you?

Manchin Drops more hints on how he would reform the fillibuster

If the minority party wants to obstruct, make them work for it! Starting to not feel as bad about this Manchin fellow.

https://slate.com/business/2021/03/joe-manchin-filibuster-senate-hints.html

Specifically, the piece says, Manchin “thinks either the majority needs to come up with 60 votes to overcome a filibuster or the minority to come up with 41 votes to sustain it.”

The senator has now said that on top of requiring the minority to actually talk during a filibuster, he’d be open to requiring that they keep 41 votes on the floor in order to maintain their blockade. No matter what, that would be a massive time suck for opposition lawmakers, which would make filibustering more logistically difficult. But once you’ve made the rule change, it also opens up the potential for old-timey hardball tactics like running the Senate 24/7 until the opposing side just drops.

DU Presidential Approval Poll

Do you approve or disapprove of the job Joe Biden is doing as President?

March 6, 2021

My pledge to work my ass off in the next midterm elections.

Look I know this is super early, but while the democrats are shorthanded, they are dedicated to improving the lives of people as much as possible. We absolutely need as many more seats in the House and Senate as possible in the next election to fulfill our agenda -likely ending the fillibuster, reforming our courts, protecting the right to vote, etc. We will not be able to do this as easily without more Democratic members in our caucus. I pledge to knock on doors, make phone calls and donate as much as physically possible in order to secure Biden's bold agenda for the rest of his term.

Who's with me??

So let me get this straight

Moderate Dems are very concerned about people getting paid more by unemployment than their actual jobs(thus pushing for lower ui payments), but just voted against people getting paid more in their actual jobs.

If the accusations are true, should Cuomo resign?

Obviously he knows whether they are true, and if he is lying he knows it. But if they are, should he resign?

At a certain point, states should be required to acknowledge climate change to receive federal

support for climate change related disasters. Texas is all about means testing people to receive emergency aid for individuals, right? How about when it comes to emergency aid for natural disasters that they helped perpetuate through decades of denial of the root cause, and refusing to do nothing to change?
