As soon as possible, we must pass a constitutional amendment to
Elect our president by popular vote. I suspect this year or the next general election, could get us close to what we would need to end the electoral college A constitutional amendment to elect the president by popular vote would do two things
1) It would abolish the archaic system of the electoral college, and
2) Get rid of any concern that state legislatures could have to unilaterally override the popular vote of their state (which is already basically impossible btw).
It would have a multitude of positive impacts on our system of government, one of which would allow us to actually feel like a democracy for once.
More than 4m have voted. How many do you think will vote before election day?
What percentage of the vote will cast their vote before election day? My guess isat least 60% but I think by election day his base could be so demoralized and not turn out, making the early vote turnout close to 70-80% of the overall vote.
An extremely implausible dream scenario
Enough Republican Senators are MIA due to covid to give the Democrats a slight majority of control in the Senate -while both the president and vice president eventually have become incapacitated due to the disease. Nancy Pelosi becomes acting president while the Democrats have a small majority and push through Merrick Garland into SCOTUS faster than anybody can blink.

It likely isn't going to be any of the horrible shitfaces who've been perpetuating and pushing such terrible policies. But rather, a secret service agent or somebody in housekeeping or food services. And Trump will have their blood on this hands on top of the other 210,000 people who have died from this.

I will be trusting the post office with my ballot. I assume it will arrive within the month if I send it back today. I voted against cash bail, for benefits for independent contractors, against jackie lacey and for Joe Biden!
