Chris Evans has called Donald Trump a “giant meatball” in his latest criticism of the US president.

The Avengers star has not been shy in voicing his opinions about Trump.

In a Twitter post shared on Monday (2 November), the actor condemned the president's recent suggestion that he intends to fire Dr Anthony Fauci should he be re-elected after Tuesday’s (3 November) election.

“This actual meatball wants to fire the US’s top infectious disease expert during a pandemic,” wrote Evans.

The post was accompanied by a video of Trump speaking at a recent rally in Florida. In the clip, the crowd can be heard shouting “Fire Fauci”, to which the president responds: “Don’t tell anybody but let me wait till a little bit after the election.”

Facebook reportedly exempted Trump's family and allies from its misinformation rules to avoid accusations of anti-conservative bias

Facebook held off applying its misinformation rules to key allies of President Donald Trump because it feared accusations of anti-conservative bias, The Washington Post reported on Sunday.

Current and former Facebook employees told The Post that the company had gone easy on certain accounts, including those of Donald Trump Jr. and America First Action, the biggest pro-Trump super PAC.

Toward the end of 2019, the company removed a misinformation strike against Trump Jr.'s Instagram account, two former employees told The Post.

The paper did not specify which post was at issue but said that if the strike had been upheld, Facebook could have imposed sanctions on the account, such as reducing its traffic and lowering it in search results.

One former employee told The Post that this was one of many strike removals for Trump's family members over the past year.

Eminem, an artist who's long been guarded about licensing his music, has a career first: He has provided a song — his signature song — to a political candidate.

The Detroit rapper’s “Lose Yourself” is the soundtrack to a new spot from the Joe Biden presidential campaign, a 45-second get-out-the-vote push that arrives just ahead of Election Day. Released online early Monday, the ad, titled "One Opportunity," features black-and-white footage from locales across the U.S., including Detroit and a recent Biden visit to the Michigan State Fairgrounds.

Trump Is Barricading Himself Behind a Massive 'Non-Scalable' Fence on Election Day

The D.C. police department is expecting protests and unrest, and spent about $130,000 on tear gas and other “less-lethal” munitions to prepare.

A “non-scalable” fence is expected to be placed around the White House just in time for Election Day, anonymous sources told CNN and NBC News—a potential response to law enforcement fears of civil unrest and violence over the election results.

Similar barriers were placed around the White House complex in June, during Black Lives Matter protests in Washington, D.C. But the restored White House fencing, which CNN said will be erected by “federal authorities,” is just the latest sign that law enforcement officials are anxious about a wave of post-election demonstrations.

In October, the local D.C. police chief, Peter Newsham, told lawmakers that it’s “widely believed that there will be civil unrest after the November election regardless of who wins,” according to the Washington Post. Earlier this year, his department shelled out about $130,000 on tear gas and other “less-lethal” munitions to prepare for any such demonstrations, according to WUSA, a local CBS affiliate.

Last week, CNN reported that Immigration and Customs Enforcement was also putting its agents on “standby,” while Customs and Border Protection was training its personnel in the lead-up to Election Day. Additionally, NBC News’ Geoff Bennett reported Sunday that “250 National Guardsmen have been put on standby, reporting to Metro Police officials.”
