Steven Hoffenberg, who went to prison for a Ponzi scheme he said he built with Jeffrey Epstein, was found dead on Tuesday at his home in Derby, Connecticut. The cause and manner of death are yet unknown, as the body was seemingly in a state of advanced decomposition. According to a statement from the Derby Police Department, officers went to Hoffenbergs apartment around 8 p.m. Tuesday evening in response to a request for a welfare check. There, the statement said, officers found the body of a white male in a state where a visual identification could not be made. A public information officer was not available to speak with Rolling Stone on Thursday afternoon, but a spokesperson for the department told the New York Post, Every indication is that it is Mr. Hoffenberg. The police statement further indicated that an initial autopsy revealed no trauma.

The United States Department of Justice is asking for a 17.5-year prison sentence for former New York Police Department Officer Thomas Webster, who was convicted in May of assaulting a police officer during the attack.
"Webster, 56, of Goshen, N.Y., assaulted D.C. police officer Noah Rathbun with an aluminum Marine Corps flagpole, jurors found. The panel of eight women and four men also found Webster guilty of interfering with police in a riot and trespassing, disorderly conduct and violent conduct while carrying a deadly or dangerous weapon on Capitol grounds," The Washington Post reported on May 2. "Webster, who previously served on the protective security detail of former New York mayor Mike Bloomberg, was the first of about 150 defendants charged with assaulting an officer to take his case to a jury and the first to argue self-defense."
Webster's lawyer had complained the victim was "mocking" the rioters and his legal team said he did not deserve to be incarcerated with people who committed "inner-city crimes."

Andrii Pokrasa is being hailed as a hero in Ukraine, known to the public as "Drone Boy," after he helped a crucial Ukrainian military operation using his drone.
Andrii, 15, helped by his father, put his life in danger and sent the Ukrainian military the coordinates of advancing Russian forces during the early days of the war.
The war in Ukraine, which has raged on for six months, has had a particularly brutal effect on children.
Nearly 1,000 children have been killed or injured during the war, UNICEF estimates, and more than 5 million Ukrainian children both in the country and living as refugees abroad are in need of humanitarian aid.
"My mother was very scared at first," Andrii told ABC News reporter Britt Clennett. "But now she is proud that we did well, that we are healthy and that we were able to help.
