An El Paso County Deputy was arrested and is facing a number of serious charges.

On Wednesday, the sheriff’s office shared details with the public on the case against Deputy Dalton Bridges.

“He is charged with Sexual Assault and 2nd Degree Kidnapping, related to Domestic Violence,” part of the news release reads. “Bridges has been employed with the Sheriff’s Office since June 10, 2019 and is assigned to the Detention Security Division. He has been placed on Administrative Leave in accordance with policy. As this is an active investigation, we will not provide further comments or press releases regarding this case.”

Northeastern University student, 23, is killed after being hit by police SUV while on a crosswalk: Seattle cops REFUSE to put driving officer on leave since he was responding to 'priority call'

A student at Northeastern University's Seattle campus was struck and killed by a police cruiser responding to a call last week.

Jaahnavi Kandula, 23, was run down by a Seattle Police Department SUV as she was crossing a heavily-marked crosswalk near her campus in the South Lake Union neighborhood.

The officer had been responding to a 'priority one' call to provide aid to a man who had overdosed on drugs but did not need to be taken to the hospital. Police ruled the incident an accident, and returned the unnamed officer to duty shortly after the accident.

It is unclear if the police car stopped after hitting the student.

Kandula was a graduate student set to earn her masters in information systems. Her family recalled her as a 'brilliant' person.

71 Commands in 13 Minutes: Officers Gave Tyre Nichols Impossible Orders

A Times analysis found that officers gave dozens of contradictory and unachievable orders to Mr. Nichols. The punishment was severe — and eventually fatal.

Police officers unleashed a barrage of commands that were confusing, conflicting and sometimes even impossible to obey, a Times analysis of footage from Tyre Nichols’s fatal traffic stop found. When Mr. Nichols could not comply — and even when he managed to — the officers responded with escalating force.

The review of the available footage found that officers shouted at least 71 commands during the approximately 13-minute period before they reported over the radio that Mr. Nichols was officially in custody.

The orders were issued at two locations, one near Mr. Nichols’s vehicle and the other in the area he had fled to and where he would be severely beaten. The orders were often simultaneous and contradictory. Officers commanded Mr. Nichols to show his hands even as they were holding his hands. They told him to get on the ground even when he was on the ground. And they ordered him to reposition himself even when they had control of his body.
