As promised, here are some more osprey pics

I spent quite a bit of time with this beautiful bird this morning.

An osprey came to visit. (This one is for elleng).

I looked out my window and saw this beauty about a block away. Everything else gets put on hold when an Osprey comes to visit. I'll try to post some more pics tonight.

Not for the squeamish

You can't just walk by a perfectly good spider when you own a cool new macro lens.

So cool.

I'm jazzed because my airshow pics are showing up on DU's front page under the "cool" heading. I'm not sure how that happens, but it's nice to see.

I shot more than six thousand frames, but I'm worn out from editing pics. These will have to do for a while.

The teams are the U.S.A.F. Thunderbirds, the R.C.A.F. Snowbirds, and the U.S.N. Blue Angels.

An American White Pelican glides low over Utah's Otter Creek Reservoir

Griffith Park Observatory

For those of you who aren't familiar with Los Angeles, this is the Griffith Park Observatory, seen in the movies "Rebel Without A Cause" and "La La Land." I met up with some photographer friends in the predawn hours to get a shot of the observatory with the lights of Downtown L.A. in the distance. Unfortunately, the fog was not cooperating, and I managed to get just a few shots in before the city lights disappeared.
