What A Difference A Day Makes - Dinah Washington

Spent a day in Provincetown, MA

Up here on the Cape for a short visit. Wanted to stay longer but we only lucked into our room for a few days because of a cancellation. We did the day trip thing to Provincetown yesterday. Fall may be the best time to visit. Beautiful weather and less crowded (although there are certainly crowds). It seems like every other building is an art gallery. Relatively few of the touristy tee shirt shops and the like. The victorian and older houses that dominate the architecture are beautifully maintained. Lots of restaurants with water views.
The entertainment scene seems to be revived after 18 months of Covid. I would have enjoyed staying in town a few days and taking in a bit of the nightlife but my wife enjoys a quieter vacation so we are at an inn in Brewster.
If you are planning an overnight visit book early. It seemed every place had a 'no vacancy' sign out.
Provincetown has the reputation of being the dog friendliest place in America.
