Is something happening in Russia?

Twitter is alive with rumors. A possible coup by Preghozin, the leader of the Wagner military group? Nothing is clear. Follow the thread for more:

Update on Ukraine's offensive:

https://twitter.com/NOELreports/status/1672149815419973635

At this point Ukraine is quite close to the main Russian defensive line and penetrated a significant trench line just north of the village of Robotyne. I think this means Ukraine' armed forces are solving the problem of the mine fields.

The latest from Ukraine:

Several Russian sources are reporting that Ukraine has breached the entrenched fortified line at Robotyne. This would be a significant break through if true.
There are substantial defensive trenches around Robotyne. It is a mile and change in front of the major Russian defensive line.

Russia-Ukraine War
Bridge to Russian-Occupied Crimea Is Damaged
A Russian-backed official blamed Ukraine for a strike on a bridge to the peninsula, a region vital to Moscow’s war effort.

Crimea is increasingly the target of strikes.

A Russian-backed official said on Thursday that Kyiv’s military had struck a bridge connecting the rest of Ukraine to occupied Crimea, a peninsula well behind the front lines and one that is vital to Moscow’s war effort.

Sergei Aksyonov, the Kremlin-installed leader of Crimea, said that there were no casualties from an overnight attack on the Chonhar bridge that connects the peninsula to the Kherson region of southern Ukraine. He said in a statement on Telegram that bomb technicians were investigating the cause.

The Crimean Peninsula, which Russia illegally annexed in 2014, is important to Moscow’s control over occupied territories in southern and eastern Ukraine. It has increasingly become a target of attacks, although Ukraine typically maintains a policy of not explicitly claiming responsibility for strikes there.

Although Mr. Aksyonov did not assign blame for the strike, the Russia-backed governor of occupied Kherson, Vladimir Saldo, directly blamed Ukraine. He accused the “criminal Kyiv regime” of hitting the bridge with long-range missiles donated by Britain and damaging the pavement.

The latest from Ukraine:

The offensive continues to make progress. The forces on the western flank apparently are attempting to eliminate the russian salient and straighten out the line before attempting to breach the heavily fortified Russian 2nd line of defense.
A lot of video is now coming out of Ukraine's successful advance.

Keep in mind four things:
1. These reports are from yesterday. They are all from Russian sources. Ukraine maintains operational silence.
2. Ukraine has not breached the heavily fortified 2nd line of Russian defense.
3. Ukraine has not committed the overwhelming majority of its forces to the offensive yet.
4. In 1944 the allies landed in Normandy on June 6. They did not break out from Normandy until July 25. Ukraine is attempting the most difficult military operation on the mainland of Europe since WW II.
Prayers for Ukraine.
