Trent Telenko on Russian Mobilization and the Coming Winter.

Trent isn't always right but early last March he was the only person writing about how terrible Russian logistics were. There weren't many back then who thought Ukraine stood a chance in the war and he was one.
I think he's spot on about the disaster the mobilization will prove to be and the prospects of the Russian army this winter. Definitely worth a read:

Trent also recommends reading this guy Mark Sumner at the Daily Kos and he does seem to have really accurate, not always optimistic reports daily:

Update on Ukraine Battle fronts.

Pretty accurate thread as far as I can tell. Russia lost four airplanes in the Lyman-Oskill River front. The RUAF is taking some chances trying to defend the front there. The situation is changing daily.

NY Times: Iran Protests Surge to Dozens of Cities

Sept. 24, 2022
Updated 9:12 a.m. ET
Protests in Iran against the government spread to more than five dozen cities on Friday even as the authorities escalated a crackdown that has reportedly killed dozens of people and brought the arrests of prominent activists and journalists, according to rights groups and news media reports.

Internet access — especially on cellphone apps widely used for communication — continued to be disrupted or fully blocked, affecting Iranians’ ability to communicate with one another and the outside world. News from Iran has trickled in with many hours of delay.

In many cities, including Tehran, the capital, security forces opened fire on crowds. On Boulevard Ferdous and at the Shahrak Ekbatan apartment complex in Tehran, the forces fired at windows; in the city of Rasht, they threw tear gas into apartments, according to witnesses and videos on social media.

Iranian state media said Friday that at least 35 people had been killed in the unrest, but human rights groups have said the number is likely to be much higher. A previous death toll of 17 issued by the state media included at least five members of the security services.

Heros of the siege of Mauripol freed in prisoner exchange.

Some 200 Ukraine prisoners including over 100 from the Azov Regiment were exchanged for some 50 Russian prisoners including the corrupt politician Mevedchuk.
All 5 of the leaders of The Azov Mauripol Regiment were freed although they will be required to stay in Turkey for the duration. Putin couldn't stomach facing them on the battlefield again. Also freed were several foreign volunteers including an American.

I don't think this will go over well in Moscow.
