Almost a one-hit wonder, but who needs another when you have this one?

Jeff Lynne Anyone? Nothing better than ELO at Wembley.

See if you can tell the difference from their studio recordings - awesome performing and mixing of their live versions - and a hot string section in the back adds to the enjoyment.

Future Professional Golfers of Arabia championship moved to Trump Club in Miami

ESPN

The LIV Golf League's season-ending team championship will be played at Trump National Doral Golf Club in Miami for the second s
traight year.

LIV Golf League officials announced Monday that the $50 million team championship will be played Oct. 20-22 at Trump National Doral, which is owned by former U.S. President Donald Trump.

The three-day team championship was originally scheduled to be played Nov. 3-5 at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. LIV Golf League officials have been working to move it back to Trump National Doral, where it was staged in the league's inaugural season in 2022. The Jeddah event, now scheduled for Oct. 13-15, will be the final regular-season tournament.

"We're thrilled to return to the Blue Monster at Doral to celebrate a historic year and crown the 2023 LIV Golf League team champion," LIV Golf CEO and commissioner Greg Norman said in a statement Monday. "The team concept has come to life this year in exciting new ways as our players and fans embrace the launch of team golf. We're building up for an action-packed weekend with headline entertainment that will put an exclamation point on another can't-miss LIV Golf event."

Can someone explain the Log Cabin Republicans to me?

Just watched:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/log-cabin-republican-president-says-desantis-ad-completely-destroys-argument-he-s-more-electable-than-trump/ar-AA1dyxcV

I don't understand a thing Mr. Moran is saying or trying to accomplish. Now he has some term that is new to me " radical gender theory". WTF is that? Does this guy watch what his party is supporting? He seems like he's in a weird state of denial.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. says he's 'proud' Trump likes him, doesn't want to alienate any 2024 voters

WASHINGTON – Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an anti-vaccine activist and scion to a storied political family, will be challenging President Joe Biden for the White House, officially kicking off his 2024 presidential bid Wednesday morning in Boston.

Kennedy will be running as a Democrat and campaigning on a platform of fighting for the "liberties guaranteed by the Constitution," according to his campaign website.

"I've come here today to announce my candidacy for the Democratic nomination for president of the United States," Kennedy said during his announcement. "My mission over the next 18 months of this campaign and throughout my presidency will be to end the corrupt merger of state and corporate power that is threatening... to impose a new kind of corporate feudalism in our country."

His father must be turning over in his grave. I can't wait to see his plan for not alienating the orange vomit and his white supremacists supporters.

Are food prices based in reality or just plain greed?

I see a million articles why food prices are so high. While I am sure some of this is legitimate I also think greed has taken over. Grocery stores don't seem to want to compete for my dollar anymore. Used to be you could go to a store and it always had the products you needed. Now it's like a farmers market. Some days it's there and some days it's not and it's not just products affected by Russa/Ukraine, etc. Prices have risen more than 100% in the last three years, with some items going up a dollar a week over the last month. Do they really need to charge these prices? Will the economy collapse if the shareholders of these companies share in some of the pain and not gouge us. I think they are just in a "we can just raise the price to increase profits" mode using inflation as a cover for some of it - at least it sure feels that way.

Don Lemon says he doesn't believe in 'platforming liars and bigots' after CNN firing

From USAToday.com:

https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/celebrities/2023/06/26/don-lemon-first-interview-since-cnn-firing/70359344007/

Don Lemon is giving his first one-on-one interview following his ousting from CNN, saying he doesn't believe in "platforming liars and bigots."

In a sit-down interview with ABC24, a local news affiliate, Lemon reflected on his "responsibility" as a journalist and reacted to criticism he received for pushing back against Republican presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy in a combative on-air interview in April. "I have a responsibility not only as a journalist but as an American to tell the truth and abide by the promises of the constitution," he said. "Because the constitution says a more perfect union, not a perfect union. I'm not perfect. No one is, but I think in order to fulfill the promise of the constitution, we have to stand up for what is right. We have to stand up for the truth."

When asked about his controversial Ramaswamy interview, Lemon shared what he sees are the limits of who journalists should and should not platform. Don Lemon arrives for the Time 100 Gala, celebrating the 100 most influential people in the world, at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall in New York City on April 26.

"I don't believe in platforming liars and bigots and insurrectionists and election deniers and putting them on the same footing as people who are telling the truth, people who are fighting for what's right, people who are abiding by the constitution," he said. "That would be a dereliction of journalistic duty."
