WalkerinSC's JournalFairfield County Rock Quarry
The 10 Acre Blue Granite Rock was originally part of a land grant by King George III in the Backcountry of the Carolina colony. Later was part of holdings of the Kincaid-Anderson family. The quarry opened in 1898 and ceased operations completely in 1986.

Antebellum and Post War Family Cemetery
Truly off the beaten path. Road is no longer well maintained by the county. The cemetery is still looked after to an extent. The preponderance of small tombstones for children under 2 years old versus adults is a testament to just how hard life was in the early 19th century for young children.

Break area for the day
My view for Sunday
