Someone did suggest back there that there might be a "leader" in the youth that could coerce/force/inspire the various organizations to merge, or coalesce. I can see that happening. Of course I think it'd take a very charismatic student to pull that off thought

Mostly, my cynicism comes from both history, and the understanding that most of these organizations are formed and lead by people who think that the "other guys" aren't doing it right. SNCC, SLC, and the NAACP had notorious conflicts and it was only through the force of personality that King was able to keep them as well coordinated as they were.
