3. The only person I've ever "de-friended" was kind of like that.

Except for that he was "intelligent." I went to grade school with him, he moved away during middle school. I rented my first apartment from his older brother. My wife was a school friend of his sister. I was friends, but not close with one of his other sisters, and we're currently FB friends and communicate every now and then. But MY old friend...holy shnikees!

Bobby and his sister are both very Christian, which I certainly have no problem with. Just don't push it on me. Except that is just what Bobby did the instant we became Facebook friends. He looked over my page, saw that I was obviously a liberal, and immediately started sending me messages and public postings about how I was going to burn in hell because I approved of killing babies. It didn't matter what the subject was, it all got back to killing babies and God. If I wanted health care, I was a hypocrite because I wanted to kill babies. If I wanted to help poor people, I should first tell the to find Jesus, then stop them from killing their babies. EVERYTHING was about Jesus, God, and killing babies.

He practically stalked me, would send messages to me at odd hours, and post shit to my FB page. It made me very sad...we were good friends growing up. I tried to reason with him on that level, that we were "brothers" and friends, even if I didn't share his beliefs. He agreed, and was very loving. And then said it was a shame I'd be burning in hell for killing babies.

I very politely explained to him why he would be the very first (and to this day ONLY) person I have ever de-friended on Facebook. Okay, my it wasn't "polite," but I explained why.
