The woman who claimed to be in the room with Trump, Yulya Alferova, began promoting Trump as a candidate over social media just a month after the November 2013 Miss Universe pageant. She had actually discussed Donald Trump with Kremlin propagandist Konstantin Rykov over social media on Election Day 2012. Rykov would go on to claim he ran a social media operation for Trump using Cambridge Analytica data that got him elected.

Alferova’s husband at the time, Artem Klyushin, also promoted Trump over social media and also claimed to have been responsible for Trump’s election.
