26. What if this had happened at a restaurant?

If I sat down at Applebee's, Red Lobster, or a Mom & Pop donut shop and just hung out without ordering anything it would not be considered OK. If I chose to remain in those places of business after being asked to order or leave, they would be within they rights to consider me as a trespasser. I am confused as to why coffee shops are considered to be exempt from this social norm.
