(4,450 posts)Individual legal actions contesting election results can and do sometimes make their way up to SCOTUS. However, once a President is elected by the Electoral College, it's game over vis-a-vis reversing or changing the result. There simply isn't any constitutional mechanism for a new election or "do-over" as you and others put it.
Other remedies are, however, still on the table. These remedies would all involve removing Trump, then hopefully Pence, according to rules of succession. There isn't a mechanism for making HRC President unless she were to be named Speaker of the House, coupled with the removal of both Trump and Pence. This is something the Democrats COULD, in fact, do if they take over the House in November. Realistically, though, it's exceedingly unlikely that anyone other than Nancy Pelosi will be Speaker if the Democrats get the House.
