I'm not saying it is anything more than an excuse in her case - her earlier awareness would suggest she was not in an ambien black-out. But ambien - is known to cause sleep-driving, sleep-sexing, sleep-walking). It is relatively well-accepted as a criminal defense (unlike the "I was drunk" defense)
