To be a Trumpster you need a high tolerance for lying to yourself while pretending you don't know you're lying -- like your Dear Leader himself.
For instance you need to "believe" a big wall on the southern border will keep out foreign barbarians better than the ones in China and Northern England did -- and that Mexico will pay for it.
You have to insist Trump's not a racist, his own words notwithstanding.
You need to pretend Trump is a man of his word, though he promised to debate Bernie Sanders during the campaign then reneged. You need to "forget" Trump said he'd "100%" answer questions of the Mueller probe, because he's innocent of wrongdoing, but now tap dances the question and has stooges McConnell and McCarthy calling for the special counsel to stop finding crimes to prosecute.
But to be a REAL Trumpster you need that perverse love for pointless cruelty against the powerless which unites so many in the modern world with spectators in Rome's Coliseum two millennia ago. But even then, the purveyors of the emperor's spectacles knew better than to have the beasts rip apart children.
